I purchased 2 Roams to be able to move music around while cooking and/or entertaining in and out of the house. Right now I'm using them in the kitchen and the sound quality is great. If I move one, they recalibrate to optimize the sound for the room. Using the app means I can answer my phone and still have music going which is nice. When I want to take one to the rugby game, I just add it to my bag and we are good to go. I This was my first move into Sonos. I can't wait to work on my home theatre room.

Don't let the size fool you; the Roam sounds great whether using one or two paired in stereo. Excellent battery life, small footprint, adaptable for portable or wired connections. We set two under the headboard of our bed in the Master BR, paired them in stereo and just leave them on their chargers. The sound is incredible! The bed acts as a speaker cavity making the Roams even better than they already do! We have another pair in the breakfast nook which can easily be picked up and used on the back Ezebreeze Room or the deck. All 4 we have are just used at home so don't know about the performance of some of the other features.

I've been expanding the Sonos units in my system to a total of eight playback speakers. The flexibility, ease of movement, ease of volume adjustment in each location is superb. Plus, the sound quality equals any that I've had in my house with previous systems that were much more expensive and cumbersome to use. The system's excellent.
