Great small room speaker. We throw it in the motorcycle for over night trips. Perfect for hotel and limited space on motorcycle. If you are looking for booming sound on this speaker, you may want something different.

After a few glitches, Sonos came through! I love my Roam, the sound quality is excellent , delivering a clean organic sound . I play a wide variety of music and am pleased with the speaker. Small but mighty. I hope it lasts a long time....thumbs up so far.

I mean, Sonos is the new & last word in wireless audio if you ask me and I would go as far as saying, even with a $10k budget, unless you are building/desining a house with speakers in the ceiling, then you might as well save some cash, and go Sonos; however, I've had to temper my expectations with the Roam, as it is just a nice bluetooth, which is better than the competition, but the streaming, and Alexa function with the device is very much lacking based on my prior experience with the Arc, etc.
Pros: Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound, Wireless
Cons: Difficult Setup, Difficult to Use, Unreliable

Good quality bluetooth speaker won't work with Airplay

I bought the item based on a product review in Rolling Stone. I am happy with the purchase and the quality of the sound. But while I can get it work with my iPhone and iPad via Bluetooth I can not get it to connect via Airplay to several Macs running both the latest IOS and an older machine. I have used the help function in the forums to no avail. I have rebooted and restarted everything multiple times. For a device that was so easy to set up for Bluetooth I find it extremely frustrating it will not connect via Airplay. I would not recommend the product if you want to stream via Airplay on a Mac.

Cons: Difficult Setup, Will not connect to Apple Airplay on Mac

Should call this the Sonos "Offline" instead of Roam

We have a house full of Sonos products, including the Move, which I have never had a problem with no matter where on my property I have taken it. I bought a Roam after hearing rave reviews from friends. The thing is perpetually showing as offline no matter what adjustments I try to make following with troubleshooting. When it did show as online, it wouldn't produce any sound. Maybe unit is defective.
Cons: Perpetually Offline, Wont produce sound when online
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I already had the Sonos 5 for my living room and you could here it well in my bedroom. Only problem is I was afraid I had it too loud during night hours. I live in an apartment with an upstairs neighbor. I bought the rRoam just to use there and outdoors during the warm months - beach, boat etc. It is wonderful. Can go to sleep to music if I want to. Helps to relax me. A wonderful product
