Fails to live up to the Sonos Brand. Terrible product

This is a waste of money. This is the first Sonos I have regretted buying. The sound quality is very poor and way under powered. I can honestly say I hate the roam. It's a very expensive blue tooth speaker that fails to sound as good as the others out there let alone deliver on Sonos standards of a quality sound. The base is weak, the speakers too small to fill a space, the ap is buggy too. I absolutely loath the roam. Save your money and time, don't buy this product.
Cons: Difficult to Use, Poor Sound Quality

How Sonos ruined a good idea is beyond me. The Roam will only stay charged if you keep it plugged in all the time. Mine went from full charge to 43% in 3 days while completely off! Since it has a claimed battery life of 10 hours of music, what good is it as a portable speaker if you have to constantly charge it. This seems to be a major complaint with many people saying they see 50% drain in 24 hours on standby. Love my powered speakers, but the Roam is a joke.

Used once. Now can hardly get it to turn on. When it is on I'm unable to sync to home Sonos system. Own all Sonos products and typically love them. This one is a dud.

This unit is advertised as having 10 hours of continuous play on a full charge, and over 70 hours of left off. My device drops around 8% in about 30 minutes and has fallen to 20% from a full charge after being left off for two days.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNTIL SONOS FIX'S THE BATTERY LIFE - IF YOU DONT BELIEVE ME CHECK THE BATTERY FORUMS. ( https://en.community.sonos.com/wireless-speakers-228992/sonos-roam-battery-drain-6857914 ) This product is a rushed failure. I love Sonos, have multiple products including a surround system in the living room and was super excited for a mobile speaker for outdoor use that fits into their ecosystem. HOWEVER, I've had nothing but issues. I called in to get a replacement after an hour on the phone they said they would send me links to do future diagnostics to prove it wasn't working (as if I was a beta tester and not a customer on a botched product they rushed the rollout on) Very sad experience. Ended the call with no solution and a FOWL taste in my mouth. and no solution.
Cons: Glitches connecting to Sonos Eco System, HORRIBLE HORRENDOUS BATTERY LIFE

The sound is ok for the size of speaker, not a good as some of the top of the line (but larger) portable speakers but very good for it's size. Pros: sound, portability, size, design (exterior). Cons: Not the greatest bass nor does it get very loud but probably not what you buy it for. The biggest issue is the battery and right now there is no work around. I have spoken to others with the same issue and it is well known issue when you google it. The battery drains constantly, so it is not ready to go as a true "portable speaker" as you will need to have somewhere to plug it almost immediately which defeats the purpose. This speaker will turn on ANY TIME you access your Sonos app, change songs, volume, pause and play, etc. It is very annoying and a horrible design feature. Even if you turn it all the way off, it still comes on each time. I tried everything, and charged it 10 times to 100% power and the next day it was at 30% or worse. I sat and watched it turn on while messing with my app and other speakers every single time. I reached out and never heard back on if a firmware fix would solve this so I returned my speaker and will buy another brand for the purpose. Love the rest of my Sonos speakers, but this was a miss. I was so disappointed that I wrote my first online review ever for any product.

I have the Sonos 1 and love the sound. After golfing with a buddy who had a wireless speaker I knew it was time to Roam! Great decision and my buddy was converted as well.
