Good Sound, bad power handling

Great sound for the size and love that it connects with my whole house Sonos systems. Once set up it's easy to use with Sonos or Bluetooth. Cons: the contactless setup wouldn't work with my phone and even with my average vision and a flashlight, I needed a magnifying glass to read the code on the speaker. Unplugged, the battery will drain about 10% per day - even when fully off (it's even worse in sleep mode).
Pros: Wireless
Cons: Difficult Setup

I'm a huge Sonos fan. My house is full of Sonos. This is a really bad product. Doesn't stay paired to iPhone or discoverable. Drops out of the Sonos app constantly. Really under powered compared to other portable speakers. My 8 year old mini jam box has much better sound. Had this 30 days - looking for a replacement.
Cons: Poor Sound Quality, Unreliable

This is absolutely the most overhyped product I hav ever owned. Has actually worked 2 of the 10 times I have tried to use it- simply to use as a Bluetooth speaker for Apple Music or Pandora. Won't turn on , and Sonos expects me to waste my time doing a factory reset ever time I try to use it. Absolute piece of garbage in my opinion

I keep it charged for 2 days. Then if I wanna use it couple days later its dead! Last max 2 hours when fully charged! I have a feeling something is wrong with mine. I tried to reach out to Sonos to exchange it. No success. So frustrating! Hopefully they reach out to me after writing this review!

Battery drain kills the experience

Roam speakers sound great when they are working. However, it suffers from a critical software issue where the battery consistently drains, regardless of whether it's on standby or turned off. When not in use, roam will turn itself on and will drain the battery when not in use. The website claims it can maintain a charge for a long time in standby, but in my experience it drains to zero in about a day. And there isn't a distinction between off and standby, because either way the speaker will turn itself on to drain the battery. This makes roam effectively unusable because the batteries will always be dead.

Very disappointed

I'm so disappointed in this product. I tried to give it a chance - I really wanted it to work well. I've heard other sonos products and the sound was mesmerizing. I bought this as a birthday gift and am so embarrassed I did so. I pre-ordered and everything. I have an ancient JBL Pulse that still sounds better than the Roam. Pros: sleek design. That's it. Cons: Frustrating to set up. Why does the app only work on Wifi? Once one person sets it up on their phone, you can't have it set up on anyone else's phone. ANNOYING to charge. The battery life is so unreliable. Once you plug it in, it automatically turns on once it's charged enough. I have to keep hovering over it to see when it's finally on - and when it finally turns on, I have to turn it off so it can properly charge. Right now, I've left it charging for about a day now and when I tried (in vain) to use it again, it's still out of battery? The sound feed back for the on/off button is really sporadic. Sometimes it beeps, sometimes it doesn't. In all, I really hate it.
