Roam does not work for me.......

This product does not work well. The pair of Roam speakers that I bought constantly go in and out of stereo pairing, one loses charge in a short period of time and the other lasts longer. They are better suited to be attached to a computer but are expensive for that use. We are not happy with this purchase

I think I was expecting a little bit more out of this speaker for the price point. When I opened the box and physically saw the speaker size i knew it wouldn't have the amount of sound i was hoping for (my fault i should have done my research better) For the size of the speaker it does ok. Its great that it is portable but thats about the best feature I have found. I would compare this to the sound of an Amazon echo and for the price difference I should have just stuck with that. I wanted the water resistance for using in the backyard and for taking to work. I dont think I would go out of my way to recommend this to a friend unless they had the extra cash to spend on the name.

Heartbroken - not user friendly at all

Let me start by saying that I'm an engineer and I never write reviews but I'm just so frustrated. I have been waiting for an all-in-one speaker for a long time and I thought I had found it. I bought it when it was still on waiting list. I was so excited. Then it came and the excitement has been dissipating until I've come to the point where I wished I wouldn't have bought it... to go to the point: - turning it on is a nightmare. The bottom is not user friendly and one never knows when you're clicking too much, too little or it's just out of batterie. - the button is so exposed that the speaker turns on inside my bag and runs out of battery before I even come to use it (aka, when I want it on it's never on and when I want it off it just does its own thing) - connecting to bluetooth also is to be done with THE BUTTON so needless to say it's incredibly unreliable and my friends and I have given up on it several times. - it doesn't connect to the google minis I have so K can't listen to the same music in several rooms. - the google assistant integration is not updated and it doesn't save your liked songs ("hey google, I like this song") - the battery sucks. It runs out and it takes over 10 min after plugging for it to turn on. I'm incredibly disappointed.

Could never get the product to setup using that Sonos app. Absolute garbage. Tech support couldn't even help troubleshoot the setup. Would not recommend this product. Buy a product that doesn't need a specific app to connect through to bluetooth. Sonos needs to rethink this product.

I have had nothing but trouble with my Donos Roam since I purchased it. It does not hold a charge and the battery is constantly dead. It is hard to pair with different devices. I was unaware that you had to buy a larger charger to charge it, that was an additional expense. Definitely would not buy another Sonos Roam or recommend it to anyone.

Battery Life is Terrible

I do want to start by saying, the sound on the Sonos Roam is very good and I was really quite impressed. It is also very easy to sync with your device through wifi and Bluetooth... But, the new Sonos app is very glitchy and takes a long time to load. I use an iPhone and the wifi connection through Airplay can sometimes be patchy. I can understand these types of problems arising from a new product and I'm sure they're working hard to iron out the glitches... however, the biggest problem is the battery life is just completely awful!! It actually lasts around 5 hours tops! Definitely not the 10 hours advertised. Plus, if you drain the battery, you have to wait up to 30 minutes for it to charge enough to be able to play music again AND, worst of all, the power output seems to outpower the power input, so even if you have it plugged in, it will die again if you continue to play music!! I would wait until a second or probably even third generation to think about buying this product, it's got a lot going wrong right now.

The sound on this small speaker is phenomenal, ans it's nice to have a speaker outside that's on the same music as the indoor speakers. But compared to other Bluetooth speakers like UE, the battery life isn't as great. That said...I still love it!
