Underwhelmed, but still love Sonos

I have several Sonos products all throughout my house and I was excited for this smaller speaker both for travel as well as overall integration into my Sonos system. I have been underwhelmed by the sound, volume, and base quality. I have had comparable speakers by other brands that perform better. Sonos is still the superior brand for overall home audio in my opinion and being able integrate this product into our system is a plus. But if you are looking for a small speaker for travel like we were, I'd consider doing more research. We are going to consider the Move speaker as an alternative.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Wireless

I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually, but it is difficult for the phone to find it from the Sonos side. And when you pause it, sometimes it is difficult to resume playing later. The ability for it to connect is also dependent on what percentage of battery charge it has (it's not binary - I expected it to either be dead and no working or powering up/charged and easy to connect, but there is sort of a purgatory state, with a different color battery light). Just kind of wonky at this point. Sound is good.
Pros: Superior Sound, Wireless
Cons: Difficult Setup, Difficult to Use, Unreliable

Confusing to use

The button is confusing to use, this button controls turning it in, sleeping, and turning off. As silly as it sounds, I don't fully understand how to turn it off. The unit does not come with instructions on how to use the button and what the lights mean.

It's great, but incredibly annoying that if you leave this thing outside or in a other room for days (even while off or in standby mode) that it will drain battery

Excellent addition to my Sonos system

After reading lots of favorable reviews, I took the plunge and haven't regretted it for a minute! While the Roam unit is small in size, its volume output and sound quality are quite good. I take it to work and play Internet radio and music from my iPhone. At home, I have started using it in my office instead of my Connect and powered Bose computer speakers - it sounds that good. In addition, it's great in the patio and yard, connected to my Wifi to access my NAS-based music collection. It will not blast away in the middle of the yard (for that, you would probably be better off with the Move) but at reasonable volumes it sounds quite nice and I thoroughly enjoy it.

Great sound, difficult to keep connected

This product would have gotten a 5 start rating except for the difficulty of pairing, almost every time I attempt to connect it has to be reconnected to my router. I do not have this problem with any other device that uses an internet connection. At times i just give up trying to pair as it becomes time consuming , however the sound, size & Sonos radio channel are great..
