Received my new Sonos Roam today, < 10 minutes to setup with my existing system and it sounds GREAT !!! It's really small and the sound is amazing, this company knows what they are doing.

I bought this to replace the one SL in our bedroom. Wanted to be able to take the speaker into the shower. The setup wasn't super easy tapping the phone to the back of the speaker but after 4 or 5 tries I got it. Now that it's set up the sound is great. Way better than my Boom3. The only knocks I have against this thing are 1. The battery life isn't great. It might be half that of my Boom3. Which is disappointing. I even do the full shut down when I'm done using it to avoid extra battery loss. 2. It just feels a little flimsier than the Boom. I've dropped the boom off the side of my hot tub onto the concrete and the thing didn't skip a beat. I haven't had that happen with the Roam yet...however when I feel it I'm not certain how it would fair given a similar fall. All in all...like it a lot. Not perfect but I imagine version 2 and 3 will improve upon version 1.
Pros: Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound, Wireless
Cons: Battery Life Poor, Difficult Setup

I was really excited about this product and the fact that it is waterproof to be able to use in my shower. Since getting the speaker I found it doesn't work consistently. Setup was easy, but every time I go to use it I have to reconnect it to the app or charge it for it to turn it back on. I had music playing on a full battery and then shut it off..a couple days later I go to turn it on to use it and it doesn't turn on, so I have to charge it again, this happened 2 separate times after having been fully charged. Maybe I am doing something wrong, but it doesn't seem to work as seamlessly as the other speakers. The on off button is difficult to tell whether you've effectively shut it off or turned it on, would prefer more of a click so it is clear that the device is on or off. May try to exchange for another Sonos speaker

Cons: Difficult to Use, Unreliable

I recently received my Sonos Roam that I pre-ordered. I knew it would be good, it is a Sonos product after all, but we are talking a new level. Alien technology, SR-71 type stuff we are talking here . That's the only explanation for SO much sound and functionality out of such a small device. The packaging is what I call 'simple elegance', and is the case with all their products. The setup process keeps getting better and better with each product. The Roam is no exception. As long as your Sonos app is up-to-date this is about as easy as it gets. Love the NFC-based setup process! Also love the Auto Trueplay, especially with this being a mobile speaker. Another thing you don't have to worry about. I frequently just join the Roam to the rest of the Sonos speakers in the house and then cart it from room-to-room (or outside connecting to my outdoor AP) to fill in the gaps where I don't have speakers. Bought another for my son to use at home / college. Thank you for another great product!

Sound is great and integrates well with my other Sonos speakers and the app. That power button though. Hold it for a few seconds, listens for beeps to determine what mode it's in? Even when I think it's off it's not, and draining battery. Luckily some guy on YouTube tried to explain things. The non tactile feel of the button gives the impression It's broken, but it's not. The app needs to be updated to let you know what mode it's in and give you the ability to shut it down or put in sleep mode
