Pretty good portable speaker

As expected this speaker sounds great, when I can get it to connect via Bluetooth, which is spotty. About a third of the time I can't connect to my phone to stream playlists. Also not getting the battery life I expected, maybe 3-4 hours but not a big deal for us, we usually have it plugged in. Impressive sound from a small portable speaker but irritating when I can't connect. The Bose speaker we have connects 100% of the time and sounds as good.
Pros: Superior Sound
Cons: Unreliable

Very frustrating product

I'm generally a fan of Sonos products, but the Roam is very unreliable. I use it with Spotify and the Roam disconnects itself and skips songs on its own. My biggest gripe is that probably 1/4 times I try to use it, it connects to Spotify, shows that it is "playing" music, but no sound comes out. It resolves by rebooting the device, but needing to reboot 25% of the time you want to use the device is a tad frustrating to say the least. Also, a new feature seems to have been added in the last software: the Roam will now decide to play AT FULL VOLUME whenever the mood strikes. Added bonus: it's hard to stop when it does!
Cons: Difficult to Use, Unreliable

Faulty Battery

I love the size, design, and sound of this speaker but the battery is not good. I've had my speaker for 9 months now and it's kind of unreliable. If you power it off it still dies and sometimes it doesn't turn on at all even though it was on the charger. It may take days to come back on. Also, it sometimes powers on by itself even after you turn it off. I hope this issue has been fixed with the new release.

I was so excited to get this since I wanted something to use outside while I am in the landscape gardening. The first time I used it fully charged the battery didn't last very long. I would expect more from Sonos

I love Sonos so I bought two Roams. It's built with quality and pretty rugged, but it's not very load, and I understand load is a different description for everyone. I was at expecting room rocking volume by any means but, these are pretty low in volume, even paired together. The sound quality is great if you are enjoying these in a small room and like low volume, they are perfect. If you want volume in small, portable speakers, go with JBL Flip 6, without hesitation. Now, the battery... terrible! Simply, terrible. One of them lasts longer and even after a full charge, the minute you start using them, that battery just goes down to the point where I'm always nervous that it'll be getting too low. If you like quiet, clear sounding music, the roam is definitely a good option, but let them fix the battery first!

Great for the beach or park! Small and compact easy to travel with. Continuously having issues with Bluetooth and airplay issues. Confusing when traveling and connecting to bluetooth

I wish this speaker had an option for Bluetooth setup, if other people want to synch to the device they have to download the app, and the setup gave them a hard time. We ended connecting them to my Google home instead because when searching for the device, it couldn't be found.
