This product is useless!! I own 3 Sonos systems for my house and business and this is the worst product I have. Took it on vacation and have had the most difficult time trying to pair to my Bluetooth as well as the Sonos app. I will be returning it!
Cons: Difficult Setup, Difficult to Use, Unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

doesn't last

This died on me, with occasional use in 20 months. Sonos was unable to troubleshoot. A further search online and other sites reviews of "sonos roam won't turn on" or "orange light of death sonos roam" will show that this is all too common issue. I am not interested in 30% off a speaker that doesn't last as compensation. Buy something else.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Expandable, Superior Sound
Cons: Unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

New Sonos App Has Removed Key Features

This is tough, I am a satisfied Sonos user for years with multiple products. While the speakers are great, they need the Sonos App to operate them, without a solid App the speakers are unusable. The latest App released May 2024 is a disaster and makes my current Sonos system useless. I will not buy from Sonos until the App is fixed.
Pros: Different Music, Different Rooms, Expandable, Wireless
Cons: Difficult Setup, New App Has Removed Key Features, New App Poorly Designed, No Alarm Settings Or Sleep Timers, Poor Playlist Management, Poor Queue Management
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I confess I was looking only for a decent bluetooth speaker, not all of the hullabaloo, but okay, there's an app, etc. But now it won't connect and it wants me to reboot my router, which I do on occasion, actually did it the other day, which may be why the unit is not connected now, but c'mon, I have to reboot my router because your sorry speaker can't find the network? What junk.
Cons: Difficult Setup, Difficult to Use, Unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good sound, Battery life isn't great

Had them setup in the garage on the sides of a couple tool cabinets with magnets I put on. They are also used on the Kawasaki UTX using the same magnets on a metal pad on the dash. Due to the poor battery life, they just stay stationary in the garage and aren't reliable on the UTVs. Great for a lightweight easily movable speaker for around the house; not recommended for a truly mobile option.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound
Cons: Unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Is constantly disconnected

This is the most frustrating purchase I've made in a very long time. The Sonos Rome is only connected and working about 5% of the time. The rest of the time it either is not in my device list or simply won't play music. I bet I spend 30 minutes to an hour a week powering it on and off, doing factory resets and trying to get it to reconnect. Absolute waste of money, and wish I had gone with Bose.
Pros: Wireless
Cons: Awful Connection, Difficult Setup, Difficult to Use, Rarely in my Sonos devices list, Unreliable, Will not play music
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
