I had two Sonos Roams and had to return both in the last few months after they completely quit working. The Sonos Roam is not a reliable product. For the price these cost Sonos should provide a better product.

I use this in a small room to catch up in the news in the morning. It would be nice if SONOS would fix the library indexing problem as I WON'T invest in any more large SONOS system components until that is fixed.

It does not roam around the property very well. The updates don't work. Takes 10 to 15 tries to update when sitting next to router. Updates are too often. Completely unreliable. So sorry we bought it. These products are not cheap and are not user friendly. Would not recommend to a friend or enemy. Would love a refund.

I own at least a dozen other Sonos products for many years and often joked that I could be a Sonos salesman since I like the products so much. My disappointment stems from the fact that the new roam speaker I purchased cannot be controlled by the same controller I use for all my other Sonos products since they are on the original Sonos operating system and the roam is not compatible with this. I am now forced to use a second separate controller for this speaker alone. I am so frustrated, I am contemplating returning the roam

The product produces decent sound. We use both inside and outside. The set up is not the best! We have 2 roam's and we enjoy the mobility of the unit. Not a big fan of the battery life and how it just powers on when you plug it in. I would only recommend if you are willing to live with its quirky set up and power on occurrences.

Good speaker. Some issues

I pitched this speaker for it's sound quality and mostly to use it with the Google assistant. It's overall a nice speaker but the battery doesn't last very long and when it dies it takes about 20 minutes to restart once you plug it in. Also if the volume is too high the Google assistant doesn't hear you. And for the past 2 weeks there has been an outage with the playback with Google assistant and the only "solution" Sonos offers is to use the app which is not a hands free option. Also no one reached out to let people know about the outages and 2 weeks is not a reasonable time for such a large issue to be left unresolved. Lots of potential but overall I am left disappointed

Not as good as I expected

First off, this is my first and only Sonos speaker. I was an early adopter when it was released (pre order). I set up the voice control, so that's helpful, but it doesn't always work correctly. My biggest disappointment is that the battery life is short and the physical controls are difficult to see. Hesitant to buy more from Sonos.

Decent Smart Speaker

This speaker provides a low wattage wireless sound experience. I was attracted to the Roam speaker by the option to pair another Roam for stereo capability. However, stereo pairing is not available during bluetooth playback, rendering the feature useless for my intended purposes (camping). Time will tell if the speaker's waterproof feature lives up to the implication. The Sonos App leaves something to be desired as well. Sirius XM channels are limited, omitting app-only channels, though the Sonos App connects to Sirius XM's On Demand Content. Sirius XM "On Demand" content is not searchable, and does not include the breadth of content available on the Sirius XM app. And if I just use the Sirius XM app, I cannot use the Sonos system.
Pros: Different Music, Different Rooms, Easy to Set Up, Free Control Options, Wireless
