Light Indoor Use, Charger Failed, Speaker Failed, Worthless

We purchased a Sonos Roam with a Charger Base in September 2021. We used it almost exclusively indoors. By September 2021, the Charger Base had failed. By March 2023, the Roam Speaker had failed. Sonos Support was very sympathetic that our warranty had expired. Not enough, though, to call us back, as promised. Don't believe the Sonos hype. It was a waste of money.

Super unreliable in both Bluetooth and wifi connectivity, can't remember more than one wifi network, power/action button highly unreliable and barely physically responsive. USB-C charger melted and burnt my hand, no support from customer service. Love my other sonos products but this one is really not good.

Cons: Difficult Setup, Difficult to Use, Poor support, Unreliable

I was between moves have a new house constructed. I had no Internet for two months @ the new build. When first purchased you cannot operate until speaker has current operating system & is registered to your WiFi. Speaker was shelved for two months before I could use it. Contiplated taking back but had just returned another brand.

Since owning this speaker for about a year, I can count on one hand how many times I was able to take this speaker out of my bag and play music. Almost every time the speaker is dead and I have to charge it first. Don't bring this with you to a camping trip expecting to listen to music without power. It will disappoint you.

Impressive base and solid sound for a speaker of its small size. Not to be compared with a larger bookshelf speaker. Easy control of music from Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Spotify. Smooth control via Alexa and Hey Sonos. Hard to turn on if let off for some time- pressing On button often does not turn it on- have to press multiple times and its response can be puzzling- not for someone without patience.
Pros: Free Control Options, Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound, Wireless

The Good: Sound quality Build quality The Bad Reliability is terrible Battery life is way too small Disconnects from the app frequently Need to be reset/rebooted frequently I bought these to add to our other Sonos speakers so that we could take sound into the backyard. The speakers frequently disconnect from the Sonos app (even when not moved), the battery runs out after only an hour or so and one of them doesn't charge all the way and disconnects from the other pair almost daily. I wish I'd never bought these.
