doesn't work well with a mesh wifi

bought this speaker to able to move around the house with other sonos speakers. I learned that Sonos isn't really compatiable with a mesh wifi system because some speakers will try to connect to the 5g network while others can only operate on the 2.4. Once one switches, it's no longer found in the Sonos app and won't play music, very disappointing

Solid, Durable, Portable Speaker

I like this speaker and don't regret buying it. However, if I'm going to give an honest review, several aspects left me wanting more. First, the size is great since I personally classify this as a "travel speaker." It is also weatherproof (up to a point), but what travel speakers aren't these days? The setup was easy and general use of the product is also easy. The areas that need improvement include... Connection: any combo of speakers I pair, the roam is always the glitchiest. To the point, I do not pair Roam at all anymore. Sound: the quality of sound is immediately noticeable with all of my Sonos speakers except roam. Sounds like any other travel speaker App/System: Wireless (great!) but when you're using the Sonos app and your roams are off it marks them as "powered off" with this annoying color coding. I'm not saying eliminate this but can you make an option to turn this off? I don't need the alert Voice Assistant: Usually have to repeat myself. Not because ___ (insert robot name) didn't understand me instead because it can't hear my requests unless I'm very close Price Point: I think this speaker is priced a little high considering all of the above.

Stopped working a few weeks after 1 year warranty ended

I used this mostly as another speaker in my system, however it would disconnect pretty often and I would have to turn it off and on again to have it "online". The battery also stopped charging just a few weeks after the 1 year warranty and Sonos left me out to dry with a 30% off a new one offer. Only really useful as a portable speaker.

Amazing sound and battery, wish it did Apple Music w/ Google

It is truly perfect in every way except in it not supporting Apple Music using Google Assistant. It sucks for Apple Music users because you have to use the phone to control it, and Apple Music app does not have the ready made speaker integrations into Sonos like Spotify does (and airplay has some sound degradation/glitchiness). And Sonos has been pretty non responsive/vague about addressing it.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Superior Sound, Wireless
Cons: Difficult to Use

Roam stopped working after 2 weeks

The Roam was super easy to set up and pair with my Ray soundbar. I enjoyed using the product for the first 2 weeks and suddenly it just stopped charging and would not turn on. I'll be requesting a replacement product but it's very disappointing to spend a premium for a product that is defective. Hopefully quality control improves.

Great while it works but has a shelf life

I'm on my second roam and it just died. They work for a year and a half or so then they stop charging altogether. It's great for that first year and a half and super convenient but then all of a sudden and without warning it stops holding a charge and becomes a useless, expensive paperweight. Not reliable at all. Steer clear if you want something that is going to last. Sonos used to make rock solid equipment but they really rushed this thing out.
