Roam is the worst

The Roam is one of the worst blue tooth speakers on the market. Sound quality is fine but it's incredibly hard to connect to, runs out of battery quickly and keep getting lost from network when on Wi-Fi. I just don't get it. I'd say 5 / 10 for Wi-Fi And 2/10 as a Bluetooth only speaker compare to the industry leaders. I've had a ton of blue tooth speakers and this is the worst. I love the move and other Sonos products so not a Sonos hater ! Just my honest opinion.

This thing lasted about 6 months. It was alway unreliable and kept dropping connection, even with very reliable internet. Now I have the red flashing light of death and all support wants to do is blame the charging block (that came with the unit) and refuses to to listen or read the hundreds of articles about flashing red light for this unit.

Love Sonos, terrible setup and user experience

Love Sonos products. The Roam is so difficult to setup and it makes no sense why it's so hard to setup to Bluetooth. They pack so many functions into the Power button and it doesn't work well. Also, it's challenging to figure out if it's actually turned off.

The speaker has made extreme jackhammer noises at full volume on 2 occasions to the point that I have to bury it in blankets until it runs out of power. It's a 50/50 shot it will play music through the wifi, and the Bluetooth connection process works even less. Not sure if I just have a lemon but this thing has been AWFUL.

A disappointment compared to other Sonos products

As an owner of the play base and sub, I had high expectations when ordering the roam. This speaker doesn't live up to the hype. Other brands portable speakers have much better sound quality and cost less. It's also much harder to get it to pair to devices. The battery life was decent for the first month. Now, the speaker will die if it is not plugged into the charger. I was really surprised at how poor of a portable speaker this was since all other Sonos products are great.

Cons: Poor Sound Quality, Unreliable
