Our stereo is at the far end of our condo away fromour computer desks. Roam brings the sound to us without turning up the volume. Even with hearing aids my wife can't always hear the TV but with ROAM near to her she can hear everything.

I thought the Roam was a pretty good product ... until the day it just wouldn't turn on. Read up on it online and turns out the thing turning into a brick is pretty common. Of course, it was a month after warranty expired. Not sure I can recommend unless you want to lease a working device for 2 years and then throw it out.

Having to use the app to connect to Bluetooth along with having one button (that feels terrible) for both power and connectivity is complicated for no reason. I also have JBL portable speakers that were much easier to set up, without an app, and with superior audio quality.

Had high hopes for this Roam unit. Great sound, but once you power it down, it won't connect to the Sonos app and has to be factory reset and re-installed over and over. Long and tedious process.
