Not worth the money. The competitor 'sound link' is far superior. I didn't mind the big sonos system, and wanted wifi as blue tooth is awful. But the poor speaker quality is a huge draw back that the wifi doesn't address On Sympathy the Devil, the piano doesn't come through once the other instruments come in. Bass causes it to rattle

I have trouble buying this again

Honestly, I bought this speaker when it first came out and was so excited. It's proven to be very unreliable and now after a year and half the unit will no longer turn on. Now I'm being offered a mere 30% discount to replace it which is not appealing if the next speaker is also going to die in 18 months. On top of this, Sonos doesn't provide the adaptor to charge it out of the box so you have to order that separately which I find to be a terrible user experience. And the addon wireless charger doesn't charge the speaker very quickly at all so don't rely on that.

I own a sonos beam which is excellent. However the roam is not up to par for Sonos. It continues to disconnect from my network. I have reset it several times now. Will be returning it.

Connectivity woes

I purchased my Roam almost two years ago. I love the design. The sound is great and I've played it at home and at an event for 100 people. What drives me nuts is very basic set up doesn't work. I am constantly trying to figure out why it won't connect or why it connected yesterday but not today. The buttons and user experience are impractical and confusing. Some days i love my Sonos (when it works) but most days it's a huge waste of time and source of frustration.
Pros: Superior Sound
Cons: Difficult to Use, Unreliable

Works relatively well and great audio for its size. Unfortunately, seems to lose connection with the rest of my system at least twice a week and the power button design is lacklustre. Must push really hard on it to register a touch. And this is for both units purchased.

Good but flawed

Great sounding speaker for the size. Setup is annoying. If you haven't connected to the sonos app first you can't pair Bluetooth at all, and connectivity in general is not intuitive. Finally, the power button placement is atrocious. It protrudes, so accidentally gets powered on all the time in a backpack or travel bag.

Super hardware, new twist on the same old software pains

50% of the time I want to use this product, I can't because the Sonos app says it's "not available"... I can hold it in my hand standing next to my router, and the Sonos Roam is greyed out in my list of Sonos products and there NO way to refresh or reconnect in the app unless I do a full system reset. How can a company with such attention to hardware quality have such bush-league, yard sale junk firmware to make it all work.
