Bought it for the sound. Disappointed though

I bought the Roam primarily to use as a work place audio source plus an additional speaker in the home office music (SONOS) system. I thought that coming from SONOS the sound would have been head and shoulders above the competition of equal size. I wasn't right. True, it has good sound but no better than its competition. As for setup, that was a challenge as well. Took several attempts to set it up. Just kept getting hung up on final steps. As for pairing it to Alexa, I just gave up. When I brought it back to the shop to add into the home SONOS system it advised me that it was no longer paired to the home system! Not impressed. As for battery life I get about 5-7 hrs of playing time. Seems too short to be useful. I noticed that the ROAM becomes unresponsive when it gets close to low battery life. I notice a tiny orange LED I assume indicating low battery available. Why not a red LED? All in all I think SONOS needs to tweak the ROAM to make it a competitive option in this category.
Cons: Difficult Setup, Unreliable

Difficult to use but sounds fine

Difficult to set up and a little ridiculous that you have to use wifi to connect for the first time. It's a portable speaker and you should simply be able to connect with Bluetooth. You can do that after initial setup but it's a pain. It also has to charge for quite a while to play music again. Even if it's charging it won't turn on for at least 5 minutes. Sometimes I avoid using it because it's such a pain to use

Great sound frustrating IOS instructions

iOS interface and the hassle of connecting when wifi is not available (camping or hotels that charge for wifi)make it a rarely used device outside my office Getting it to let you select Apple Music or a independent streaming radio station ( instead of Sonos music programming)seems intentionally difficult. I would not have purchased them if I knew the setup bias Ditto for Stereo Mode setupwith two devices that may have been previously used independently Much better sound than my previous Bose but Bose has got a much easier music interface via Bluetooth to just start playing with far less setup complexity The Sonos instructions are not well written and the index is lousy Is there someway to return them and get my money back?
