Product concept is goid, but fails to deliver. I bought the wireless charging stand also. The base charger issues require frequent factory resetting to fix and none of my music apps stay connected. I have none of these issues with my 8 other sonos speakers. Sorry i bought it

Great sound and portable too

I like to take it to the garage or the patio and can use wifi. I like having the ability to use Bluetooth to stream the CBC app since it is different from the CBC channels available through SONOS. The single button button for powering on and off, Bluetooth and standby has confounded me more than once. Standby mode is pretty much useless as it uses too much power so when you go to use it there is none. All in all I thought battery life would be similar to various Bluetooth speakers I've used or even like my iPad. Sound is super, using with my other SONOS speakers sweet.

Amazed at how well this little speaker belts out amazingly rich sound. It's very light and portable. Charge lasts a long time, long enough for swimming and bbq'ing out back on our lanai. And the interface is easy to use once you get the hang of it. Good replacement for my prior JBL portable which recently died.

Great little speaker, poor execution on the wireless charger

Everything I needed out of an ultra portable smart speaker. If you have the Move and want something smaller when you're out of the home, this speaker is for you! However, like the Move, switching WiFi networks on the Roam requires you to reset the device. I wish Roam was able to easily move between WiFi networks like my smartphone or laptop computer. I'm also not a big fan of the wireless charger. I like how it has magnets that align the roam mostly perfect every time, but the charger itself isn't very heavy and stays attached to the move as you try to pick it up. The charger for the Move does not do this and I was expecting that to be the case for the Roam as well. Despite these two downsides I would still recommend this speaker to anyone who is already in the Sonos ecosystem and is looking for an ultraportable speaker for use outside the home.

I own a few Sonos products and will be a Sonos user for life. I just bought the new Roam because I like to layout and listen to music and of course needed something not tethered to a power chord. I preordered the roam on a whim sure that the sound would be worth the price based on my past experience with Sonos, and I was right, it sounds great! Other uses: while on the trampoline, working in the yard, camping, you name it.

Really enjoyed it however the one button to change mode get a bit finiky at times. The size is perfect for travel. Would have been great of there was a charging port for a phone like in the small jbl speaker. Love that it has qi but make it standard issue. Don't nickel and dime like others. Move came with a charging base.

I use this everyday to stream music at home and in my office. Don't let the size of the unit fool you the sound is exceptional. I also like the fact that it is rechargeable so I can take it outside without needing to be near an outlet
