Battery drains when app turns the Roam on

The app turns the Roam on by itself. Unless you constantly have it in a charge, it will be drained when you go to use it as a portable speaker. Don't buy this until theirs is a fix in place. Many many people are complaining about it.

I use Sonos for a minimum of 4 hours a day. The ROAM has just expanded my using time. I think it is the best speaker I have ever owned. I am hard of hearing and have hearing aids, and the sound quality of the ROAM is fantastic. Presents for the grand kids

Sounds great, performance not so

Nice sound, great features, integrates with Sonos system - what's not to like? Here you go...... After a full charge and off not using for a day, battery is at 65% today. Why would the battery discharge by 1/3 when it's off? I can see myself on the go and pulling this out of a pack and having a dead battery. My Roam drops sound frequently. Sometimes for a few seconds, other times for 10 or 20 seconds. It's enough to be quite annoying and frustrating. It does not appear to be due to lack of wifi strength or bluetooth interference either. A portable speaker has to sound good (check), have a good battery (uncheck) and not drop music (another uncheck). Two in the negative out of three, I cannot recommend - especially at this price. Please tell us that these problems can be fixed with a firmware upgrade

Cons: Unreliable, Battery

I actually had problems testing this unit out. But not for the reasons you might think. My teen age son fell in love with it. He confiscated it from me every chance he got so he could listen to his rap music. Once it was okay to take it outside, the neighbors got to hear it full blast...lol Unfortunately I was late getting the app in to receive the Roam. If there's possibly one left I'd like to call dibs as a late birthday gift :) Thank You for the honor in testing as well as gifting the Beta Product. Hope to be chosen again in the future.

Excellent Speaker

I have been buying Sonos products for years and never had a hardware issue with any of the speakers until now. I purchased two Roam speakers one black and one white. The problem is with the black Roam, I cannot see the control buttons In normal lighting conditions. The buttons are the same colour as the speaker and are virtually invisible. I have to hold the speaker up to the window to see the controllers I found I had to work it by touch. 5 stars for the white speaker ,3 for the black which is going to be returned
