Battery issue?

Enjoyed it for one weekend, but now I can't get it to charge. Seems like a common issue due to specific charger size (not included). Even after trying that, the light turns red when I plug it in, but fades away after 10 seconds. No other responses, appears dead.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Wireless
Cons: Unreliable

I was so excited when I ordered this and waited the months for it to come. Out of the box worked okay sound was good does not get very loud. I did the side by side challenge with my boom 3 and the sound quality of the roam is better, but volume wise the boom 3 gets much louder therefore covers more ground when you're outside. The fact that you can't listen to it when it's charging is a real bummer and a downfall of the Boom. I purchased the wireless charging pad and while listening, seated on the charging pad, the battery died. Anytime I start my Sonos app for my room system the speaker turns on and the battery drains. Not the experience I was looking for and, in my personal opinion and extremely poor design. There should be zero reason I can't listen to it while it's charging whether it's hard wired or on the charging pad but the company advertises that you can listen to it while it's charging on the pad. Not my experience. I would say at 75% volume out of full charge you might get 3 hours. All in all was extremely disappointed with this I have the soundbar and the subwoofer in my house and it is wonderful.

Cons: Glitchy, Short Battery Life, Unreliable

I tried to send music through bluetooth but it would not connect as it required to first be setup through the Sonos app. I then tried to setup through the app but failed as it's not compatible with it (I use S1 since I own many early Sonos products). I ended up lending to someone who also had difficulty setting it up with S2. Eventually this worked but I was unimpressed by the sound and sent it back. Not for everyone.
Pros: Different Music, Different Rooms, Wireless
Cons: Difficult Setup, Difficult to Use, Poor Sound Quality

Great sound but buggy

I use it primarily as a Bluetooth speaker but the battery dies in three days even if it's not being used. That means it needs to stay plugged in so it's ready to go when I leave the house, annoying because it uses the same charger as my phone so I need to remember to plug it back in after I charge my phone. Also when it dies, the Sonos app just tries to take you through all the troubleshooting steps instead of just telling you the battery is dead. I don't regret buying it but I'm not sure I can recommend it. It really depends on how you're going to use it. It's not big enough to be useful in a full Sonos environment, for the price you might as well go with the One SL but I guess you could take it in the shower?, and it's not convenient enough to act on Bluetooth alone. Although even with the annoying quirks it is still a great sounding speaker, as good as any other top brand. Personally I think Sonos just needs to focus on making it more convenient as a Bluetooth speaker, what they're selling it for.

I bought this product to use in my bathroom. After setting it up with my alexa it works great except for my music. Specially my radio station. Very unreliable. Sometime it works most of the time it doesn't. Very disappointed. So now a have a paper weight.

I purchased this produced based on all of the reviews from the tech magazines and men's lifestyle magazines saying this product is great! I really have to say this is such a great little package with fantastic sound I wonder why it took SONOS so long to get into this space! I had a play 5 and missed the days of having room filling sound but with little device I have near similar experience, albeit at lower volumes, than my old play 5. My only call out is that it is designed to have 5 hours of listening - its as expected and last this long but once I started listening I didn't want to stop after 5! For next gen please make a longer lasting battery!

I love using the roam in combination with my SL Ones and Arc living room setup. I place it in my dining room to give an even broader surround sound. It's also killer on its own when I take it out by the pool out to other rooms in my house.
