Very good products with room for improvement

everything about this speaker is perfect for my use case. I use the speaker in the shower room and would like the ability to control it wireless with my phone or without the phone. the wireless features on this speakers allows me to do both. only improvements i would recommend is better battery, and more functional features added to the app (for example go to sleep, or wake from sleep using the phone).

I've literally owned almost every major brand of portable speakers. This includes Bose, Apple, JBL, Amazon, Microsoft, and others. This is the perfect size and form factor for a portable speaker. Great for streaming music or adding great sounding audio to your laptop or phone. I watched one of the latest Star Trek movies on my MacBook and streamed the audio to my Sonos Roam and it sounded like a movie theater on my patio. Just awesome! I only have one Roam but I'm going to add a second one for stereo sound. Well worth the price! Very happy!

I've wanted a portable speaker for a while and none of the options on the market appealed to me. When this speaker was released I couldn't wait to get one. I bought the white one because I figured it would be easier to see (I'm glad I did). The speaker produces great audio. I expected as much because I own other Sonos products. What I didn't expect was the room filling sound from such a small device. Even my friends noticed the difference immediately when I swapped out their portable speaker for mine. I now take this speaker everywhere I go. My only complaint is that Sonos doesn't make a case for this speaker.

The sound quality of this portable speaker is mind blowing. I expect the best sound quality from Sonos products; however, I was skeptical at this price level that a portable speaker could produce the level of sound quality that I was accustomed to hearing from other higher prices Sonos speakers. After just one song, my doubts were gone. This speaker is incredible. The sound it produces fills any size room and gives the listener a full and immersive experience. Having the option to connect via WiFi or Bluetooth is very convenient as well.

This new Sonos Roam was unexpected and a great surprise. The setup was a little challenging and the turn off and turn on feature needs to be rethought as it is hard to hold the button down and sync as an older person- 65. I find that I also have to struggle with connection issues at times and after 30 days had to download the Sonos S1 app to resync and use my Roam again. That was frustrating and needed to be better explained as a new user.

Great sound but not a long charge

I thought the Roam was very easy to use and love the fact I can finally have music outside on my porch. However, I thought it broke and took me awhile to find out that the reason it was no longer showing up on my app was because it ran down to 0%. I haven't tried timing it but it didn't seem to last very long unplugged with the charge at all.

It fits the claim of being super portable and light but there is an understandable lowering of the sound quality. It is what it is though and is a great compromise between portability and sound. Highly recommended
