A bit of a "stumble," unfortunately....

This is my 4th Sonos speaker. I've had Sonos for many years & love everything about the products, the system, etc. Needless to say, I was super stoked for the Roam to come out, as I felt it had been way too long for Sonos to come out with a compact bluetooth speaker. Well, I am not sure if the wait was worth it. I bought this primarily to replace my old Ultimate Ears Boom almost exclusively to be used as a golf speaker. First, the power button on the Roam is in such a horrible spot (right on the side) & it protrudes out like a switch. The first few times I used this when golfing, my music would stop constantly due to my golf bag being rustled as I walked, which any little bump in the road would cause the Roam to move ever so slightly, which then caused the power switch to trip, almost like it's waiting to be turned off at any given time. The Roam would much more benefit from a power switch which was flush with the surface & goes on and off by pressing INTO the unit with light finger pressure. Second, did I mention I play golf? Every portable compact bluetooth speaker that I've ever seen has some type of a hook or clip attached to it which allows you latch the speaker to a grounded device in order to keep things stable. This has nothing to the like. I first had it sticking out of a half open pocket in my golf bag, & couldn't deal with that because it trapped some of the sound. I then reverted to using the Roam in my golf bag's attached water bottle holder, which I first thought was ingenious, but then refer to the paragraph above with the location of the power switch--every little bump caused this thing to turn off. Finally, who knew unless you actually read directions that the power switch does NOT turn the Roam off--it just puts it to "sleep." I was wondering why my speaker only lasted 4 hours before it died--because I wasn't actually turning it off by hitting the power! Give me one good reason a bluetooth speaker needs a "sleep" mode....I'm waiting

I preordered the Sonos roam and I am sure glad that I did. I own multiple Sonos products due to the audio quality . It is second to none! I love the wireless capability. I keep this in my office for the most part, but take it outside when I'm using my smoker and the sound quality is still superb even outside. I have recommended this to multiple friends .
