I am not a gamer. I needed an office computer for word processing, internet surfing and cloud-based computing. The all-in-one design works great for these purposes. The screen is large, but not overwhelming. I have it attached to a second monitor, also a touch screen, via a USB and HDMI cable. I was not overly impressed with the wired keyboard and mouse, and replaced them with a wireless combo which now takes up one usb port instead of two.
For my purposes I would say that a computer is a commodity. As long as it turns on and does what it needs to do there are not a lot of features I am looking for. That said, the touchscreen is a very nice add, particularly if you've grown up using touch screen devices. What would put this computer "over the top" is a stand like my Dell touch screen that I have attached to it. Being able to push the monitor into reclining position would make it much easier to use as a tablet and also make it more comfortable to view.
The only negative thing I have to say about the computer is that the fan noise is annoying. For the initial week, it sounded a lot like my Mac 2009 desktop tower turning on, which is to say, like a jet engine soaring. This happened several times an hour but has since reduced itself considerably (maybe occurs only when I turn it on). My other HP Pavilion is completely silent. This one continues to make a low oscillating hum whenever it is on. It is not loud enough to hear from the other room but sitting right in front of it, you know there is something going on inside the box (mmm hmmm mmm hmmmm mmmm hmmm mmm hmmm). It's particularly annoying when there is no other noise in the room.
I just purchased the HP 27-dp0188qe AiO PC. I have only used it for a day but so far so good. The only weird thing is it gets really loud like a loud fan is blowing when you ask it to print or do something other than be on the internet and typing.
I bought this computer a week ago, I know it's kind of early to provide any feedback, however I feel a bog different on how the processor work HP vs Dell works.
I absolutely love this all-in-one desktop. The screen is amazing and the intel i7 processor is fast, plus it has two hard drives that will provide me with lots of storage.
Too often if I leave the computer for more than 20-30 minutes, it will automatically reboot and I can't activate it without powering down and powering back up. Which means I lose everything I may have been working on. It's beyond annoying. I've been through stage one troubleshooting with tech support and it did not solve the problem. Now I have to do a system recovery. We will see if that works.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this three weeks ago, and I love it! I haven't used the camera yet but I absolutely love the screen and the integration with my phone. I do hate one drive. With a passion. And I can't figure out how to get rid of it. (Which is a me problem) But besides that I am extremely happy with my purchase. And it really does just plug and play! Maybe 30 min setup and then some updates. I would definitely buy again!
