I've had the computer for only two days. The review is based on my first impressions. It is a beautiful, fast machine--the start-up is almost instantaneous. The set-up was easy and took only a few minutes. I love my new HP computer. Now for what I think could have been better. 1. Webcam. I like the fact that it is a pull-out camera. However, I am dismayed by its apparent low quality: the image is grainy, the colors - washed out. I will not be using it unless somehow it gets improved. 2. Noise. The computer makes a variable tone noise, like a wave propagating through the air with peaks and troths: U-u-U-u-U-u. It is distracting. Realizing that I will have to live with this noise for the rest of this computer's term of service, I try to think of it as my computer's heart beat. I think I will get used to it, but I wish it weren't there. 3. Wired keyboard and mouse. This is my fault entirely--not checking the specifications as carefully as I should have, but I expected a wireless peripherals to come with an all-in-one machine. I wouldn't mind a higher price for the overall package. In summary: Not happy with the webcam. Noise-all desktop machines have it, albeit not as unique as this one. All-in-all: fast, beautiful, huge. Love my new computer.
I have to say I’m a Mac person and we bought this for my boyfriend, primarily for day trading. Windows 10 is Bill Gates invested in Apple and trying to combine the best of both worlds so once you adjust your strings and customize, it’s pretty seamless. Not sure if my PC knowledge is vastly improved or the touchscreen and menus are easier to navigate but much more effortless than I remember XP to navigate. The processor is pretty fast, it does “breathe hard” during certain upgrades and processor and fan go into overdrive but overall pretty impressed with performance. Especially for the price. We had tried first to get a Lenovo all-in-one but that was a nightmare experience and company. HP=CustomerService
This is my second all-in-one computer I purchased a 24” touchscreen all-in-one at the end of 2012 shortly after Windows 8 was released. It served me well for several years with no hardware issues but was aging. While I could have updated the memory to make it serviceable for a bit longer it was time to get a new computer. Pros Very fast to boot with SSD drive for OS and like the very large screen that is only slightly larger overall than my previous computer. I believe that this is the largest touch screen all-in-one computer that HP sells. After 4 days with this computer it does exactly what I purchased it for, mostly remote connectivity into work and running multiple ‘office apps’ over VPN. It is very quiet and the built in stereo speakers are better than expected being perfectly adequate for video calls. It was very easy to set up and didn’t need to open any of the minimal paperwork supplied. Since I work in IT I don’t care about any of the software supplied and actually remove O365 click to run apps to install local Office apps more to my liking. Cons No DVD drive but so far I am not missing this. While there are 5 USB ports, the standard keyboard and Mouse take up 2. I would like to see HP supply a wireless keyboard and mouse rather than the ‘white’ wired units which are bound to look dirty long before the usefulness of this computer is gone. Since I have two USB printers; this leaves a side based USB port for headphones when I don’t wish to use built in speakers / mic for remote calls. While I don’t need an extra port all the time it would be nice to have one more for a USB storage device. Overall This is a very good computer for the money considering what you get and the limitations usually associated with an all-in-one design. Key features are ease of setup and only a single power cord. If home networking is a requirement, then an option for Windows Pro might be a worthy addition. I don’t see that anything else is needed and the extra 1 TB SATA DATA drive is a nice bonus.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased a 24” & 27” HP All in One computers, for personal use in each of my two homes. Have in past owned Compacq Preserio, Gateway tower, Dell laptop, Dell XPS tower & Apple IPad. Why it took me so long to HP I don’t know, maybe advertising. But my HP laptop is 5 yrs old Windows 10 and still works as if I just bought it, I feel because of HP’s diagnostics that came with laptop. My All- Ones are amazing. They are extremely fast and efficient. At 75yrs the way they operate I may not have to buy another computer in my lifetime—really. Sorry HP but your computers are that good. PS going thru Epson, Canon & Samsung Printers, same experience. Have replaced both homes with HPLaser printers. Thank you HP!
I do graphic design work and I'm very impressed with the speed of this computer. It works well with the different graphics apps and Wacom tablet. Nice modern design to the computer itself and looks good in any setting.
I would give this computer 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that it sounds like a car engine. I'm thinking I'll have to return it if it doesn't stop. It constantly revs as though it's going to take off. Everything else works fine though
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought those computer about a month ago. I really wanted the all in one feature to clear up some space on my desk. It clearly has done this it works well for basic features. I ended up not using the touch screen part of it very much. The setup was relatively easy although it took a while to get my previous Microsoft loaded and I had a hard time getting rid of the Macfee that I didn't want but was loaded and kept on sending me annoying messages to sign up. The worst part of the whole purchase though is the very loud sound that the fan makes. My stepdaughter thought a plane was landing in the house and whenever I leave I have to remember to turn it off so the whole room does not get taken over by the fan sound
