Previous experience has shown that poor quality control cast a shadow on the long term durability of this product.
Battery issues, corrosion, and internal leaking are all too common resulting in premature failures, usually just out of warranty. Time will tell if I get lucky with this example.

Poor Quality

I have used these for many years now, love the concept. My original ones would last several years, now they don’t last 2 years and don’t try to use the warranty all I’ve gotten is the run around for the past couple of months. I will find a different brand.

Purchased Three, They Work Great

After looking at all of simplehuman's soap dispensers I chose three of the foam sensor pumps for the kitchen and two bathrooms. Setup and charging is simple. The on/off and charge is housed under the lid, and the bottom of the included plastic twist off refill container is visible at the bottom so I know when to refill. Retired during COVID, two of us are home often and constantly washing our hands. The pumps work well and the touch free is perfectly calibrated for sensitivity. The excellent design keeps them far enough from backsplashing water, especially while doing dishes, and from accidentally turning on when reaching for nearby items, or the bathroom handles. Easy to wipe down when needed. These are a great size, too. They stay charged longer than anticipated and hold a good amount of soap. Very happy with the simplehuman foam soap options for dishes or hands. I have mint lime, geranium and spring water. While we normally choose fragrance free when possible, decided to try these scents and like all of them. They're light, refreshing, and most importantly, clean well with no sticky residue. Very happy with our foam sensor pumps.

I don't like the screw on bottom because sometimes it doesn't screw on tight enough. I have dropped the bottom twice already losing all my soap I put in it.

Love this foam pump for hand soap. It is easy to use and maintain. The soap sprays in a nice consistency and there is no sticky mess around the dispenser.
