Great concept, poor execution

We bought three pumps. Two failed days after receiving. We got replacements for them then a week later another dialed. I returned everything. Not worth the money.

It worked great for a week. Then stopped working. SimpleHuman customer service was great in accepting the return and paid for the return shipping. I understand they are also working on a fix for the issue.

Amazing Product

I was skeptical about whether I'd like a sensor pump, but I end up replacing the soap pumps I buy about once a year because something breaks. This pump is amazing. It's great to not have to manually pump, and the SH foam soap is luxurious in feel. It is a pleasure to wash your hands. The only issue is that I have the foam one by my sink for hand washing and the non-foam by my sink for dishes and other people get mixed up. I was also to find (online) lovely labels that look amazing.

Foam Sensor Pump

The idea behind this product is great, but I've had several issues with it unfortunately and had to move on to a different product. The main issue is the product seems to malfunction or get damaged easily. For whatever reason, I've had to get it warranty replaced several times because it completely died and stopped charging. Since the unit is in a shared space, I don't know exactly why this occurred. Either the product electronics have been defective multiple times, or it got water damaged by a user. Either way it has forced me to choose something else. Since this unit is designed to go by a sink, I feel it should be water proof or water resistant. The other issue is how easily it is affected by steam. If you run hot water, it creates steam which unintentionally sets off the pump. So, I'm constantly wiping up and wasting soap or having to shut off the unit before using hot water.

I have always believed simple humans products to be of great quality, as I several of their products. I bought this for my granddaughter because she loves foamy soap, and it is kept in my kitchen. She is 13 ( so it wasn’t mishandled. I am more than disappointed with this simple human device. In less than a month it is completely out of operation! It has corroded inside the battery case and will not charge. It can’t even be used as a soap dispenser. Because of my belief in simple human, I don’t have z as my way to return it. Can anyone help?

Unlike every other Simple Human product I’ve purchased over the last 8 years this one is the only one that has broken - within the first several months! Instead of getting another foaming dispenser I asked to get a rechargeable soap dispenser since my other is working without issue.
