Great for our space!

This trash can is great for our space (at the end of our island) and holds the liner just right. It’s not exactly fingerprint-proof, but it still looks pretty nice overall.

LOVE MY TRASH CAN!!!

I bought my original simplehuman trashcan about 5 years ago and then 6 months ago, it stopped working and only opened about 4 inches. I was getting ready to purchase a new one when I stumbled upon a review about SH replacing someone trashcan for free as it also stopped working. I contacted the company and they sent me a brand new one in less than a week. I definitely love a company that stands behind their products as it encourages customer loyalty! Thank you SH!!!

All I Needed Was a Trash Can With a Lid...

...but, since I'd been rocking the same plastic trash can for over a decade, I decided to splurge on the 55L rectangular step can with liner pocket from simplehuman. It's beautiful and the step mechanic is completely silent. Will probably never need to buy another trash can again.

I previously had the simplehuman step can that had the plastic lid. Loved the can, but it cracked after 8 years of use. So I replaced it with this one. I was originally balking at the price, but once I received and put it to daily use, I fell in love with it. Quiet, as gorgeous as a trash can can be, and functional - what more can you want! I definitely recommend paying the price and then enjoy it. Silly sounding as that may seen, it is the truth.

I'm in love with my trash can

Okay, first off, I NEVER take the time to write reviews, and secondly, I didn't know it was possible, but I'm actually in love with my trash can! No seriously, it's literally my favorite "appliance" in my kitchen now. The design is ingenious and beautiful, I love that the bags fit so perfectly, auto dispense, and adore that the bag itself is hidden. That feature is perfect for neat/design freaks as myself, and as a plus, hides the edge of the bag from my dogs so they can't pull the trash out. It's beautiful, works so well, and fits a TON of trash. Whereas we used to take out the trash almost daily, sometimes twice if it was a day I cooked, we are going sometimes a week without taking the trash out. My partner and I used to complain over taking the trash out, and now the experience is so enjoyable, we both try to take it out! If you're on the fence, the price tag is worth every single cent, but be warned, once you go with simplehuman trash cans, you may never go back!
