Nice and large for recycling

I needed something large to put our paper recycling in that suited our kitchen (needed something that could accommodate pizza boxes :). The dark bronze would have been my first choice (not available in this style) so I chose the white. It's a great size for recycling, unfortunately they don't make the Q bags in the clear which means the handy little storage area at the back of the can goes unused. It would be great if simplehuman made more sizes of bags for recycling with all the recycling programs that communities have in place. At the end of the week I only have about 5 gallons of regular garbage but easily fill this 55L with papers and another 55L with plastics and metals.

As beautiful as a trash can can be. Seamless smooth operation to open and close. Love the little pocket to keep the liners in. There isn’t anything I would change about it.

Best trash can ever

A few years ago I purchased a simplehuman trash can for my parents for their anniversary. It was tall and round and had a swinging lid. I thought it looked so cool. Unfortunately, it was the worst trash can ever manufactured. It inevitably got dirty every time you threw food in it. Thank goodness for this trash can. The no show liner, the huge capacity, the liner pocket. It doesn’t even show fingerprints although you wouldn’t need to touch it because of the efficiency of the step open lid. Five stars.

55 litre step can

Absolutely love this garbage can! I have always kept trash bags in the bottom of my trash can (men have no excuse of the “couldn’t find them”) but having a dedicated place to keep them is wonderful!
