55L Rectangular Step Can is pricey, but It is very attractive. I’ve only had it for two weeks and so far I’m happy with it. Lid fits nice and tight, I’m using the bags that came with it and I like them too. The pedal to open the lid feels nice and sturdy and closes the lid very quietly.
It’s a high quality product, I’m glad I purchased it.

Out with the old

After close to 15 years I needed to replace my reliable simplehuman can that was creaking and slowing down when closed.
This can (black matte) is absolutely perfect. It looks fantastic and the new features are great.

it is a great step can - expensive but sleek and clean looking for my kitchen. I’ve loved it for years.
Too bad that after three or so years it starts to creek and moan mercilessly.
Thank you so much for replacing it. I wish there was a way to sustain this with some sort of silicone oil but evidently if it’s coming from the back side below, it’s not possible.
I’m wondering out loud whether or not if you add a couple of holes in that little plastic that encases and holds the metal rod on the bottom of this step can ……maybe that would allow for the application of silicone oil dispersion that may prevent it from creaking … I’m not an engineer, but just a thought😉

Best trash can ever!

I absolutely love this trash can! It holds more trash than any other of my previous trash cans and the bags are really sturdy! I would highly recommend to anyone! I will definitely be buying more simple human products!
