Opens up all on it's own when you walk by....

Handy cans for a duo set and looks great, but it does not close on verbal command but opens fine on verbal command. It also will open when you walk by it. W love the look of it, but it does not perform as it is advertised, but very handy side by side. A bit difficult to take off the top of the can when you need to empty the cans as well but overall design wise looks great, but just don't expect it to operate as it is advertised.

I bought this can because of the ad. The actor was trying to discard his Chemex coffee filter without dripping, spilling, or other unpleasant gunk. Sold! The can allows you to work continuously in a kitchen or cleaning area without pausing to dry your hands, put your tools down, or open the lid. The one hilarious quirk it has is that it opens, on its own, if you walk past it too closely. It has a nice dual operating function — 6 AA batteries or a plug. The adapter cord length is a little short. Bottom Line: A+

The van looks nice and works great when I just got it. However, thanks to the guarantee I got a replacement since the older one stopped working properly after 13 months. I will see if this one works properly passed the 9 month guarantee left.

This is a very nice product. The scent pod works well which is important with the large capacity. The removable bucket for recyclables is really convenient.

I love that they were able to add voice command to have the trash can stay open! It was much needed especially when emptying a vacuum or something. I also think they added a second or two before it would close the trash can. They also added a sensor that if you were standing right at the trash can that it wouldn’t just close on you like it did before. No more getting hit by the lid!

Aside from the sleek design that deserves to be seen and not hidden in a cupboard, the Simple Human Sensor Can is a wonder. There's nothing like being able to invite the can to open when one has hands full of trash so nothing is dropped; outside of the can stays clean, and you are able to easily separate trash from garbage. Thank you once again, Simple Human.
