We love it, it works like a charm so far, very quiet operation and ease of use,
it responds to voice command or motion, stays open longer if you need it to when you say "stay open" , very smart design! I highly recommend it!

Last one we had broke as soon as warranty expired. No option to repair. Only option is to buy a new one. Just shows its a poor quality product.

Want to love it

The product, if it were not malfunctioning, is exactly what we wanted. Our unit, however, opens on its own at random times. No one will be near it and it just opens up. This isn't ideal when we have guests - a random showing of our trash. Hopefully simplehuman will be replacing the unit and I can update this review.

Batteries run out so fast :(

The can is great, we have had this style for ever, this is our 3rd but first time with the motion censor. The other 2 broke after a year and half from daily use of the pedal to open the lid. So we thought this one was the solution! We already changed the batteries twice in 3 weeks as we wind have a plug in this area. It’s not going to work unfortunately 😖
