It took us 24 hours to get used to! We now love it, as it saves us a few steps. For the most used item in our household, we realized just how important it is to have a seamless user experience with our garbage/recycling can!

Expensive trash can that came dented. Customer service took days to get a hold of so I just gave up and dealt with the automated return process.

I like the aesthetic of the can, the ease of use and conveniences that simple human engineers into their products. I hesitated spending this much but I am already pleased with how my trash is neatly stowed and the voice feature is helpful when your hands are full. It’s quiet and seems to keep odors at bay. I’ve only had it for a few days but I’m glad I purchased.

Excellent design and functionality

Top design features:
The voice commands work quite well actually, which I was surprised by! The design is top notch, atheistic is sleek and modern. I love that you can plug it in OR use batteries. We push prefer having it powered and were so happy that was a feature!

Downsides/Issues:
I wish was that a larger version was available. Also if you want to use a trash bag for the recycling, it’ll cover up the blue color of the bucket making it hard for guests to distinguish which side is recycling or not. I think they should make the top part on one side blue to avoid this like they do on their smaller open 20L cans.

We initially hesitated because we thought that the voice-control interface might be complicated and the price seemed high. But after we splurged and bought this fabulous device in matte black, it actually saved us hours in the kitchen, particularly during holiday season, as we love to cook and eat with family at home a lot. It’s great for kids and anyone physically challenged— like chefs who are cooking 3-5 dishes at once, busy and juggling cooking with kids and family! Try it and you’ll really get used to it quickly. It’s worth it! We simply love it!

We had originally purchased the step can and the mechanism that operates the step are made of plastic which broke after 4 years. For the cost of these cans more durable parts should be used out at least be able to be replaced.
We then replaced it with the sensor can. Have had a few days and it’s great. The lid sometimes opens when I walk past it, but it’s still a great purchase
