The Ultimate Upgrade

We had version 1 on this unit and it lasted around 5 years. We have adapted the simplehuman ecosystem of bags and compost into our home and couldn't just replace with another can. This new unit features new commands we didn't have previously such as stay open and close can which when we introduced the original, several of our guests would say that, and now with this upgraded model, it will actually react! Absolutely love it!

My only problem is it eats batteries. You need a plan to plug it in to use it.

Love the sensor version

I have both the sensor and foot pedal versions of this trash can and I love the sensor.
It works amazingly well and I love having the can open when I get to it if I’m throwing aiming especially messy away.
The dual containers allow us to recycle without having an open bin and worrying about pets or pests getting into it.
The only negative is that we keep telling Alexa to open the can…

Inferior shipping packaging

Arrived banged up and now have to take photos, serial numbers etc to hopefully get replaced. Did not realize it required 110V power versus rechargeable battery

Love it, but wish there was a sensor to open the can on the sides, mine is at the end of a counter and I often approach it from the side and it's a long reach to the sensor in the middle.
