The can and sensor work

The can and sensor work well however, the part that holds the bags doesn’t sit in place securely so each time we pull out a bag of trash the bags rips.

Great trashcan, poor reliability

We love the sensor cans from simplehuman and have been using one since they first came out. In our experience, they only last ~2-3 years before the lid starts malfunctioning & not staying open. The 5 year warranty is clutch in getting these replaced when the issue arises but be aware that this is not a trashcan I would expect to last much beyond the warranty.

Love this pail!!

I had another dual recycle and regular garbage in chrome with the foot opener. Also a drooling dog that likes to liked to lye and lean on it when relaxing. Had that for about 6 years and still worked fine but tired of constantly cleaning. Saw the email and immediately looked and was won over… hands free and voice command…. Bought it in matte black and stays clean. Voice command works great. I am using the double AA battery feature due to not wanting a plug coming from my garbage pail on display. I am using a recycle bag in the recycle part as I am not a fan of loose recycling. I definitely recommend this combo pail! I have been a customer of simple human since my first pail purchased probably 8 years ago!!

Not fully functioning

It’s beautiful but the close command doesn’t work. I have reset it every way possible and had someone look at it but it doesn’t respond. Otherwise gorgeous.
