Our first two didn’t last

Great for limited space

I have limited space in my kitchen so this is perfect for keeping garbage and recyclables covered and contained. My only issue is that the lid doesn’t open at a full 90 degree angle which can make removing the recycling side kind of a pain. The voice sensor also isn’t perfect but works about 75% of the time. Overall, happy with purchase.

Nice but could be better

We replaced our old sensor can with this newer model because the old can we had kept opening and closing on its own without anyone near it; I hate to say this one does the same. Although it’s much quieter, it still has some flaws. The trash can is way smaller than we expected. We wanted a dual compartment can, but wish the trash receptacle was bigger. We fill the bin every 3 days where previously with our single compartment can, we could go almost a week without emptying it. Overall, it is nice but like I said it could be improved and larger.

So Far So Good

We decided to purchase this can because we had so many problems with the step 58L Dual Compartment can lids breaking. Simple Human stood behind the problem and sent us three new cans but all three broke in the same area. We finally had to pay to upgrade to this sensor can. We felt that because you don't have to manually open the lid all the time, that this can would perform better. So far so good!

Not only am I pleased with my trashcan. Looks performance style. I am very pleased that when I had an issue it was taken care of immediately. Simplehuman will be the only trashcan that I will ever buy. Very happy customer

Although expensive, you get what you pay for, an easy, no-touch trash & recycling experience! The size is perfect for my two person household, and I love that the bags are held right in the unit.

Although pricey, we are very much enjoying our new recycle/trash container. It works better than the older model we had. It sleek appearance looks nice in the kitchen. Also the addition of the new voice command for the lid to stay open is a nice feature. Very nice product.

Amazing customer service

The first can I received was malfunctioning after a couple of days. I emailed customer service and they had a replacement can out the next day. I couldn’t even believe how incredibly professional the support rep was and how easy the whole process of returning the non functioning can was. I’m happy to say that we received the new can a few weeks ago and it’s the perfect addition to our kitchen. We love the voice activation which works especially well when you’re running to toss something that is leaking or when your hands are full. I am so happy with this purchase that I ordered two bathroom step cans, a plunger set, automatic soap dispenser and I plan to order a pet food container soon. Highly recommend!
