My husband and I were so excited when our trash can arrived. We love, love, everything about this can--- quality stainless steel, fits snugly in one corner of our kitchen or on an adjacent wall, spacious, and the operation. Our three year old great grandson gets a kick out of disposing of his trash, telling the can to open and it is so convenient for me when my hands are full. Instead of having two separate containers in the kitchen, we now have this classy looking container that hides both the recycle bin and the trash bin under one cover. Sometimes we open the top using the sensor just to see if it is functioning. Cleanup is a breeze with an occasional wiping of the recycle bin. Don't forget the no-fingerprint finish on the entire can. We hit homerun with this can.

Talking to your trash can?

When I purchased, I thought speaking to a trash can was an interesting gimmick, but I can say after having it for a couple weeks, I have actually used that feature often! Your hands are full, or wet coffee grounds that you don't want dripping everywhere... Extremely handy .. and now my favorite feature!

I very much appreciate the motion sensor and voice activation. Voice commands are not 100%, but good enough!
I also appreciate the integrated recycling - this was a challenge prior to having the can.

This trash can although very expensive is spectacular!!! It has the quietest motor of ANY sensor can I have ever owned. The convenience of a wall adapter makes changing batteries a thing of the past. The option for the split can with recycling has helped me finally recycle and stop being lazy about it. Being able to open the can with your voice when your hands are full or you want to practice your free throws is super convenient

1st one came dented. Knew it was a possibility from the reviews. Running on the batteries for now because the power cord is not long enough to reach my closest outlet.

Quietly cleared the kitchen floor

I am so pleased to have the double sensor can. I have a small kitchen now and having both a rubbish and recycle bin taking up valuable floor real estate was too much. So far, the voice sensor has been perfect, actually better than the motion sensor. It is SUPER QUIET. Delivered quickly, no shipping damage or dings in the SS. I need to figure out how to get a longer cord for the wall plug, as there isn't a close one.

Great purchase, with no buyer’s remorse.

It’s everything I expected, and now that I have had it for a bit, some of the unexpected. The motor is super quiet and smooth. I use batteries as there is not an outlet near my can placement. Despite the narrower than anticipated receptacles, it holds a lot, so I feel like I get good value for the specialty bags the can requires. It is also really nice to have the recycling container half of the can. It saves a lot of trips to the garage, where the curbside recycling can resides. The voice activation works great in a quiet setting, but not as well in a crowded dinner-table environment with conversations going on in the background. Kind of like a toddler version of a smart speaker, it will randomly open when it hears something approximating the “open can” command. All in all, It looks nice, it works well, and I am happy with my purchase decision.

Open can!

The first product I received was actually defective due to the sensor not working, but if you notice, I still gave this product 5 stars. Their return policy had a new can on my doorstep within a week and works flawlessly! The sensor isn't too sensitive where it's opening every time you walk by, it just works as expected. Walk up to it or wave your hand and it will open for you and stay open until you walk away. "Open can" and "Close can" voice prompts work about 95% of the time, which I'd say is pretty great! Fits perfectly in my kitchen and looks great!
