I've wanted a dual compartment can for a long time, and found this one before it had the voice activation. When I was finally ready to purchase, and saw the new voice activation as part of the standard model with the sensor, I was excited but a little dubious. Would the voice thing even work? And after receiving one that didn't work well at all (commands didn't work, it wouldn't close on its own, etc.), Simple Human sent me a new one! This one works perfectly and I love it. All doubt is gone. The bags are so perfect for it, so much sturdier and simpler than any I've ever used. The can is gorgeous and functional. I love this brand!

Looks great but can be very annoying

If you walk anywhere near this garbage can it opens. The sensor is sooo sensitive. Sometimes it doesn’t hear me say “open can” and I’m screaming at it to open while dripping food all the top of the lid. After going to bed last night I heard a slamming sound (lid hitting the wall) and the can was opening and closing by itself for a good ten minutes. Wish I could exchange and get a regular garbage can.

I've waited for this white trash can for over 9 months for it to get back in stock. It's great and perfect way for me to recycle. The can does open up when I just walk by but that's ok. Have 4 stars just because you can't seem to keep it in stock!

I exchanged my bronze can that broke, it took over 6 months to exchange, they did not have the bronze color anymore and now the sensor on this can only works some of the time. Do NOT buy this product
