Best dual automatic trash can

this trash can is super efficient in that it has two compartments for trash/recycle. It does not take up more space since it's all in one. It takes up less space than having two separate trash can. It comes with an AC plug so no need for expensive batteries. It also comes with fresh set of trash bag liners to start with, however any trash bag liner from the store will fit snug and will be hidden when the trash can is closed. The command word is "CAN OPEN", but my wife say's OPEN SAYS ME and it will open from 2 feet away depending on how loud you are. It does have a sensor when you wave your hand over it and it will stay open when you stand their for a long period of time.

Me and my husband love this peace of technology.If you are a cook it’s a must have!! The voice activated feature helps when you are busy cooking in the kitchen and has helped me not make a mess quite a few times. It’s compact and elegant. And their costumer service it’s impeccable, if you happen to have any problems with it they are so helpful and knowledgeable I was truly impressed. Thank you simplehuman team I’m your costumer for life!

Love the look but not perfect.

I really like that I don’t have to touch the can to open, and I love the option of having recycling right next to trash. The design is beautiful and it looks great. The only problem I’ve had so far is that sometimes it randomly open even if nobody says the commend worlds like “open” or “stay open”. It seems a bit glitchy. Very strange. Also i think it would be perfect if it didn’t require batteries or have to be plugged in. Would much rather have a system when I can just charge the can rather than using batteries or having it plugged in at all times. Not worth the money.

Voice Activation is More Than a Gimmick

Who knew that the voice controls would be so handy... especially when your hands are full. My kids also get a kick out of it... and now they think every drawer and cabinet in the kitchen is voice controlled! :)

I don’t have to give up precious cabinet space for a trash area. This fits nicely along since the end of the cabinet and the color blends in with the cabinet.
