Easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this tool very easy to use. I was concerned about the whole concept of having a chainsaw on the end of a stick, but it's small enough to get in between branches, and pulls the chain at just the right speed to cut well, but not feel like it's going to kick. I was trimming an old peach tree, which is in its final years, and was cutting through 2"-3" diameter branches at the full extension. It cut easily and quickly, never feeling like it was out of control. A much easier job than with steps and a saw, for sure.
The chain was a little fiddly to fit, but the locking and tensioning mechanism is fairly easy to use. You do need chain oil, and none is provided in the box - at least not with mine, but there was no mention of oil being provided - so you'll need to get some before running the saw. The oil reservoir has a gauge on the side, but I couldn't see where the oil level was, and ended up with a mess when it overflowed.
It comes with a hard plastic cover for the saw, so it can be stored safely without risk of catching yourself on the chain. The battery was smaller than I expected, but it keeps the weight down and lasted well with sufficient cutting power for the job I've used it for so far. Overall, it's a decent tool.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Sun Joe 24V-PS10-LTE 24-Volt iON+ Cordless Telescoping Pole Chainsaw Kit | W/ 2.0-Ah Battery and Charger | 10-inch on some small pear trees and it worked well. Very lightweight and the cut was good, cut r8ght through with ease. The head angles are so awesome, makes it easier to get to thetighter spots. I gave it 4 stars because the battery only lasted about 15 minutes.

pole saw failure

when cutting limbs , saw bounces all over limb. can not control saw. its seems to light to cut limb. tried to control saw but failed. do not buy saw.

Our property fence backs up to the woods and this is the perfect tool to trim up the trees on the other side without leaving the yard. We used to do this with the manual pole trimmer, but this device just zips thought the branches with no effort. It is so convenient that it is cordless and the battery lasts plenty long for a trimming job.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Sun Joe Products. They make excellent cordless and electric tools that do a Great job. This Chainsaw is no exception. It is well put together, balanced and makes short work of branches up to 13 feet away from the trigger! The head is able to angle for tricky cuts. The included strap helps when you are extending overhead to take some of the weight of the saw. The average battery charge time has been about 3 hours. The only issue I have with this chainsaw is the battery charge system. The battery does not stop charging automatically. If the charging battery was left unattended, this could cause possible damage to itself and even could explode or catch on fire. Pay close attention to the manual and follow all directions to prevent any issues. This is a solid backup to my chainsaw and makes pruning way easier!

Nice tool to have

I bought one perhaps 2 or 3 years ago and used it often to cut trees and branches since I have over 3 acres of lots.
I rated it 5 stars, because charge, plug in, add lubricant oil and go, no hassle. I have a gas chain saw, but I will consider using this Cordless saw before my gas chain saw.
If this cordless saw can be converted into a chain saw it will be perfect, it seems the handle bar is long.
