Works perfectly for small trees!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this Sun Joe cordless chainsaw for my husband to use at the camp. We have several trees and lots of shrubbery there.
He loves it!! Set up was easy out of the box. He just had to add oil and put the chain on it. He really likes that it is rechargeable. it is very convenient to not have to keep filling it with gas. The charge held all day and he could have kept going. Is very lightweight and easy to handle.
There were a couple of cons he mentioned. If the chainsaw falls on its side, the oil will drip out. The chain was not very sharp right out of the box. Lastly, there is a feature that allows you to tilt the chainsaw for easier cutting at angles. Adding that feature took away from the strength so it doesn’t feel as sturdy as it should.
Overall, we are very happy with it!

Great for small or quick jobs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used our Sun Joe cordless pole chain saw to cut a few branches from some overgrown trees. We are very impressed with how quickly and efficiently this cordless pole chain saw works!
It took just a few minutes from unpacking the chain saw and putting it together. We followed the instructions on how to install the saw chain and we are pleased that Sun Joe set the zip tie in place in order to make the assembly so easy! We’ve had many saws over the years and Sun Joes was the easiest!
We were a little disappointed that the chain saw package didn’t include any bar and chain oil but we had some in the garage from previous equipment that required it, so not a huge deal.
The Sun Joe pole chain saw cuts smaller branches like a dream! It’s not too loud and the vibration is pretty minimal. I believe this is due to using a battery versus plugged in for more power. I wouldn’t try to cut large branches with the cordless chain saw as it drains the battery pretty quickly.
The battery is the only complaint I have with this chain saw. We knew the battery wasn’t going to last for hours so we divided up the saw needs between two different saws. The Sun Joe cordless chain saw gave us about 15 minutes of sawing before the battery died. That was a little disappointing as we had hoped to finish a bigger section with this chain saw. The battery takes about 5 hours to charge so it’s not as efficient as we had hoped for our chain saw needs. BUT it’s great for a quick clean up or small jobs!

A Must Own for All Homeowners

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With all the recent rain storms we have been having this summer in New England, we have found many dangling tree limbs and branches in our backyard. So, my husband looked online to see what he could get to tackle not only these hanging branches, but could also help with the overgrown trees and shrubbery we have all around our property. He kept circling back to the Sun Joe 24V-PS10-LTE 24-Volt iON+ Cordless Telescoping Pole Chainsaw Kit. He loved all the features of this telescoping pole chainsaw, especially the battery runtime of 15 minutes -- which equates to about 30 cuts per charge. He read review from other telescoping pole chainsaws, and they didn't last long enough to complete one job. But, the Sun Joe 24V-PS10-LTE 24-Volt iON+ Cordless Telescoping Pole Chainsaw Kit had so many rave reviews and it came highly recommended. So, we went with this one, and are so glad we did.
Over the course of the past few weeks my husband has spent evenings and weekends tending to overgrown bushes and the hanging limbs and dying branches on trees, and loves how easy it is to operate and use this telescoping chainsaw. He says it is much better and safer than pulling out his chainsaw, or tetering on a ladder with pruning scissors trying to cut and prune bushes. This telescoping pole reaches 13 ft. and is perfect for safely trimming those hard to reach branches with ease and without the need for a ladder.
My husband now looks forward to getting outside to tackle trimming as he enjoys using the Sun Joe 24V-PS10-LTE 24-Volt iON+ Cordless Telescoping Pole Chainsaw Kit. I am so happy we went for this one, and highly recommend it homeowners looking for a telescoping pole chainsaw. This is one of those must own items for homeowners.

Adequate Power!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pole saw is pretty cool! I was skeptical at first, with it being electric but it made a believer out of me real quick! It comes disassembled in the box, but the setup is pretty basic. All of the instructions are included in the box also. It was as easy as sliding the chain on the bar, fitting the screw housing over the nut and tightening the chain to the correct tension by spinning the knob. The knob has "tighten"/"loosen" on it also to deter confusion also. I cut down a few small diameter trees and branches with no problem. I'm looking forward to see how well it does with bigger branches. There is also a button that you press that allows the saw to be in a 45° angle if desired. The only thing I would warn is, it doesn't come with bar oil so if you get this saw, grab some bar oil while you're there. All in all, I'm happy with it's performance so far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I got this because I thought it would be easier for me to trim branches and such. Honestly it came at a perfect time as we had a storm come through and knock down some trees. It really worked great. It handled much bigger limbs then I thought it would and made quick work of the clean up. I only have 1 issue with it. The little screw and plate that hold the chain in place kept loosening as you work so as long as you take a second and tighten it then it works amazing. We only had the chain come off once before we knew that was happening and it was easy to get it back on. I thought the battery lasted for plenty of time to get what i needed done. It also has a strap to help with the weight of it. It is heavier then I thought it would be but the strap does help. I also like that you can adjust the angel of the saw a little to reach those branches better. Overall I am pretty happy with this.

Great Features!

The pole that extends reaches way farther than we thought and it also has a unique feature that tilts the saw for even better use. It's very easy to put together and the price is very reasonable. It's great to trim up low hanging branches in the way and even roots that stick up out of the dirt. Easy to assemble, easy to use, easy to start (no cord to pull!). We're going to get a lot of good use out of this toy, er, tool!!

Of course we didn't cut any trees down with it or anything but work great for the medium size branches we couldn't reach. Very easy to use and nice having the rechargeable batteries.
