Great for small jobs

Purchased to use in a small garden 15x20 ft., did the job expected it to do, obviously a gas tiller would do it faster, but for the price I was able to assemble and till the garden area in about one hour. Someone who is taller than me at 5'10" might find it hard to use given that you must tilt and hold the handles lower to the ground for the tiller to do a good job and prevent bouncing. I do not have soil with rocks which I feel would impeed its use.
Pros: Easy To Use, Lightweight

I highly recommend the Show Joe tiller. It works exceedingly well. It is rugged and really digs in. I have clay in one place and almost a gravel pit in another and it handles both with ease. I am in my 80's and broke my hip so have a metal hip now and I am not too solid on my feet anymore, but I can handle the tiller fine. It is very rugged and the tines stand up to use very well. I have had a lot of very large rocks jam into the tines so tight I had to use a hammer and chisel to get them out and they did not do any damage to the tines what so ever. After years of use the tines are still very good. The only thing negative about the tiller is the location of the switch and possibly a latch on the hook that is designed to hold the electric cable. The switch is too far forward for comfortable use. When working ones hands tend to slide to the back of the grips and off the switch. To keep ones hand on the switch takes a tighter grip and more energy than would otherwise be needed if the switch was a little further aft. The Electric cord has a tendency to work its way out of the hook and pull out. A latch on the hook would cure that. But these are minor inconveniences and do not take away from the usefulness and durability of the tiller.
Pros: Rugged, Compact, Powerful, Lightweight, Easy To Use

A Great Compact Tiller

For the past several years I have gardened using containers but after cutting back a very overgrown bush I was left with a roughly 15'x15' bare space and instead of planting grass I decided to expand my garden. The Sun Joe Tiller TJ600E seems to have been the perfect choice. Assembly was simple and I had my garden tilled the same day the unit was delivered. It easily tilled 6 or so inches deep, was easy to handle and control and only seems to make as much noise as an electric mixer. For smaller residential garden plots this tiller seems a perfect fit - I would make a pass one way and then turn around and go back the other walking along behind as it pulled itself through the soil. One note in that I bought the refurbished model and I am well pleased.
Pros: Compact, Easy To Use, Powerful, Lightweight

I used mine for putting in a small vegitable garden and it worked ok. I like the price and its weight and how it is very easy to handle. Some of the draw backs to it is its size and the fact that you have to really watch out for rocks.
Pros: Easy To Use, Lightweight
Cons: Watch for Rocks, Flimsy

Very Suprised!

I absolutely love the tiller. It is a work horse as long as you don't try to do things it's not capable of doing. Work within the means of the tiller you bought and it will work great. The only thing I dislike is the position of the trigger, It is not in the correct place for comfortable use. If it was I would have no complaints. Good overall product I would recommend buying it.
Pros: Starts right up, Rugged, Easy To Use, Lightweight, Powerful
Cons: Trigger in wrong place

Used this tiller for my flower bed and a small garden. It just whizzed right through the areas, small rocks and all. I am in my 60's and had no problems at all.
Pros: Powerful, Lightweight, Easy To Use

One of the best products that I have purchased. I ude it to make or expand my flower beds and to do a path edging around my flower beds.
