My favorite new garden tool!

I am a woman in my late 60s and I'm 4'10". I assembled this in a couple of minutes (it's four bolts and a clip, not exactly challenging) and I have found it easy to use. I was worried it would be too high, but the handles are at an acute angle, so the height was comfortable and I had plenty of leverage. I initially set it to the highest setting and pressed the switch, and the tiller took off like a frightened mule with me trotting behind it! I then set it to the other height and practiced for a few passes, and it was then easy-peezy, and I was able to handle the other height as well. I was delighted with how well it took a weedy neglected plot and quickly turned it into a good-looking plot with nice fluffy soil. We battle with Bermuda grass in our neighborhood, and the tiller cut through it without pausing. You do have to stop every now and then, unplug the tiller (safety first!), and unwind the Bermuda grass from the blades, but that's a small price to pay to be able to deal with this aggravating weed with its tough long tendrils that I have paid good money to gardeners to pull up. A nice feature is that the cord connection is at the top of the handle, which makes it easy to plug and unplug. I can carry the tiller, but since it has a wheel height for transport it's easy to roll into the garage. Great product that is actually fun to use and will save me a ton of time and/or money!

Great tiller

Tiller was easy to assemble and works as described. I have tested it on bermuda grass. It is recommended to be used more on dirt projects. In my case I will have to stop more to check if grass gets rapped up in the tiller. In the test area it worked perfectly. If it hits a root it will jump so make sure you have a good grip and your footing is steady. Best to have damp, not soaked or dry dirt as well.

Great Tiller

I have had this bad boy for almost a year and i love it! it's perfect for tossing my compost heap and it's really good for breaking up soil. super satisfied with this purchase and definitely intend to purchase from this company in the future

Love using my SunJoe

I have used my SunJoe all summer. I have a large garden and now have full control of weeds. SunJoe is very easy and convenient to operate. The batteries last about 2 hours - Which is a long enough work out. My garden weeding chores are now down to a minimum

I've had Sun Joe electric tiller 3 yrs & it's been GREAT ! Easy to use and store ! I've used it in garden dirt, creating new beds tilling out grass and it's a tough little friend To make it last pull it in one direction not pulling backwards & overworking it.

Good machine, easy upgrade to make it last

Held up well for 7 yrs of use. Main gear eventually wore out, very little grease left inside when I opened the case. Recommend you regularly add grease to 2 holes (one is for input, other out) plugged by 2 hex screws on side of transfer case for longer life. Replace one with a zerk fitting and seal both with loctite for easy annual maintenance. Imagine this great little machine would last forever with this simple improvement.
