I am an older woman and I bought this for my own person use. Not only does it help the environment, but it's light weight makes it easy for me to use it. But don't let the weight fool you, it works better than any other big tiller I have used. Also it works without the noise of the gas tillers. I would recommend it and many other products I've gotten from SunJoe.
Pros: Great Value, Easy To Use, Accurate Performance, Easy to store, Lightweight, Unique Features, Durable, Great Design, Easy to assemble, Powerful
I am a 62 year old female, and I found this to be lightweight, and very easy to use. It has the right amount of power to cut through clay and rocky soil without damaging the blades. Easy to control and direct forward, backwards, and sideways. I've always preferred electric instead of batteries or gas products. You won't be disappointed with this tiller!

Big product in a little package..

Big product in a little package--we have been using this little giant for 3 weeks, first to remove grass and then to break up our tough North Carolina clay. The photo doesn't show the entire project as we are now on our third home. We first started with my home, moved on to the neighbors and then our other neighbor and we are all preparing our lawn for new yukon Bermuda grass. We have basically reshaped both properties taking one section at a time. Moved tons of soil to lower sections and build up other sections along with screening every inch. SunJoe's tiller has an amazing amount of power and never once has it bogged down and there is so much clearance between the tines and the upper shield that even the largest brick never jams the unit. We have had problems with other cultivators where a little rock would jam the tines and it's such a pain to remove. We have more than received our money's worth from this tiller and if it breaks, then I would purchase another. Sun Joe knows where to put the money and where to cheapen up which to me is the best value our of any piece of equipment I've ever purchased. You can't go wrong and if there are any complaints in the reviews, I would skip on to the next. The size of the tiller is the same as a metal rake, wherever your rake fits, this will too. One more thing, it works best when pulled in reverse and we have learned to push down slightly to allow the machine to pull itself forward. You'll figure out your own techniques by allowing the machine to teach you how it would like to be used for best efficiency. If you fight it to work the way you want it to work, it will fight back and slow your process.

Works Great!

I got the sunjoe tiller 4 years ago. It has consistantly exceeded my expectations. I used a gas powered tiller for years it was noisy, heavy and spit hot oil on me. This tiller is easy to use and works well every time. I find that if you walk slowly forward with the tiller to loosen the dirt and then walk slowly backward to dig a little deeper it really does an excellent job on garden soil.
Pros: Rugged, Lightweight, Powerful, Easy To Use
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great for small jobs

Purchased to use in a small garden 15x20 ft., did the job expected it to do, obviously a gas tiller would do it faster, but for the price I was able to assemble and till the garden area in about one hour. Someone who is taller than me at 5'10" might find it hard to use given that you must tilt and hold the handles lower to the ground for the tiller to do a good job and prevent bouncing. I do not have soil with rocks which I feel would impeed its use.
Pros: Easy To Use, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was skeptical because it is electric. WAS I WRONG !! this machine work better than any gas unit i ever used. It tilled my old garden like it was screeded soil. I then used it to clear a 13x13 sq.ft. area to pour a patio. my wife asked to try it.She did it all in less than an hour herself! I have not found 1 thing i could say bad about this tool.It has guts, and comfort that is well worth the price !!
Pros: Lightweight, Compact, Easy To Use, Rugged, Powerful
I've only used this tiller for a few hours so I cannot speak of durability. Over the years I've owned two Mantis (gas) tillers. They are great machines and I decided to try something electric this time. The Sun Joe handles very similar to a Mantis and with equal or maybe a little more power. The ground I've tilled so far is challenging and this tiller runs through it with power to spare. Stringy weeds and roots tend to wind around the tines and need removing from time to time (same with a Mantis). The price is very affordable and I don't have to deal with fuel.

Quick assembly

Just put it together and fired it up in the garden. Worked great. Only improvement I can suggest is a dirt deflector on top to keep the dirt in the same area as being tilled. However, the nicely pulverized soil is easy to rake back into place.
