I had no problem tilling a 12X30 foot existing garden in 20 minutes. Unless you have a farm size garden I would go with this electric tiller. Less money, powerful, no gas/oil to mess with, no maintenance and stores easily.

I was skeptical at first, but the reviews were good, so I took a chance at the Sun Joe tiller and I couldn't be happier after using it. This thing is a BEAST, and it has the power that a lot of gas tillers would have when it comes to actually breaking ground and not just cultivating already tilled ground. Some people don't know how to use it properly, which might account for the very few negative reviews, but this baby will get the job done.

I was skeptical about a electric tiller but the reviews were pretty good, so I bought it and tilled my area I wanted to make the garden at and boy did I give that thing a work out. It tilled up a big pile of rocks, little ones and big ones, some were so big it jammed the tiller and had to beat the rocks out of it. It even dug up pieces of brick, I'm very impressed, tines never bent and still works good. Good item! Good deal!
