Bought this mower to mow a 20' by 20' spot of grass at our beach house. It quit mowing half way through. It is fully charged and makes a mumbling sound but the blades don't turn. This is very disappointing. I have a number of Sun Joe products that are great, but I do not recommend buying this mower. It is a waste of money!

Decent mower for about 2 years.

Have had this mower since about february 2019. Did a decent job of cutting front and back yard. Bought a 2nd battery because one battery couldn't handle the whole yard during the summer months. The original battery recently stopped working completely, burned through one safety key and the replacement one is starting to become loose now but they are out of stock. Replacement blades are out of stock for as long as I can remember. This is very disappointing and when I replace this mower(soon) I will be looking at other brands.

So quiet...neighbors can't hear a thing!

We absolutely love our Sun Joe mower! It is so quiet, cuts amazingly well, and is very lightweight and easy to handle. The many and easy to use adjust lengths are a huge plus to this mower as well! We would recommend this product to any and everyone who has a lawn to mow.

Life saver

I have a large yard, usually takes 55 minutes. I have two steep banks. My gas powered lawn mower was heavy, stinky and big. I hated mixing gas and oil. If I stopped mowing for a while, the gas mower wouldn't start for half an hour. The Sun Joe starts instantly with a button, is so light that it is easier on the steep banks than the power driven mower. I compost so the grass bag is an extra nice feature. I have a snow joe snow blower and that battery works with the mower, so I do not have to worry about battery time.
Friends would ask me "How do you like the battery powered snow blower?" I would say "best thing I ever bought". I will have to amend that to"best winter thing I ever bought," sun joe mower is best summer thing I have purchased.
I hope their research and development dept. is working on an automobile.

The future is here!

I have a small piece of property in a gated community that is SUPPOSE to cut our grass regularly. I got tired of uncut grass and since gas lawnmowers are not allowed in the development, I decided to try the Sun Joe Ion16LM. WOW what a FANTASTIC product! Small enough to store in the garage, yet powerful enough to give a nice manicured lawn and nice an quiet. The only recommendation I would suggest to Sun Joe is to allow a higher cut adjustment and make a mulching blade available. I did purchase Sun Joe's discharge chute accessory, item ION16LM-DCA so I can cut bag-less. It blocks the discharge chute so grass wont accumulate behind the rear basket door when the grass catcher is removed. A mulching blade, however, would go a long way in making it a great little mulching mower. All in all with its quick charging battery which holds a charge long enough to cut a decent piece of property, its light weight construction, easy storage and its strong BRUSHLESS motor, this little guy is a WINNER!!

Worked well, not overly noisy, easy to move/steer, cut well. Shortcomings: should have mulching blade as standard equipment (prefer my cuttings to be feed for new grass, rather than placed in bag - GREENER), cannot raise it high enough (I DON'T like buzz-cut lawns!), and too narrow a cut path (now I gotta' make more passes around the yard! Not a big issue.). Overall - thumbs UP!
