I purchased the "SUNJOE - Sun Joe iON16LM Cordless Lawn Mower" about a month ago and am very happy with my decision. I had actually purchased a Sun Joe 14" electric mower first but realized that, between having to toss an extension cord around in efforts of not running over it -AND- also having a 14" wide mower, cutting the yard was probably taking twice as long as it should. So I sent it back and ordered the "SUNJOE - Sun Joe iON16LM Cordless Lawn Mower".
Setup was a breeze. Getting started was very easy as well. The mower is so light that it barely takes any effort to mow the grass. It also cuts just as good as any other mower I've ever used. The 16" wide mower is good enough for me but still allows the mower to be compact enough for easy storage. The only negative (and this is really on me) is that I underestimated the time it takes to cut my lawn. With the battery only lasting 40 minutes, it takes me about one and a half charges. So I cut part of the lawn, then let the battery charge for about 2 hours, and then go out and do the rest. If you're not okay with that, I would definitely check to see what other battery options are available -OR- consider purchasing a second battery.
I bought new but was able to get a good discount for signing up for the email list. If you're having to make a decision based on cost between an electric mower vs a cordless mower, going cordless is definitely worth a little extra. Save money by signing up for their email list (if the offer is still available) and also look at their refurbished mowers as well. The refurbished mowers will still have a warranty but it's only a 90 day warranty vs. a 2 year warranty that comes with the new mowers.

It has the battery power to do the job. I can mow the front yard rest will battery is re-charging and ready for the back yard area. Two charges will do the complete yard. No gas! No oil! I do not have the mess of oil changes or the cost of gas. No filling of a liquid fuel and no gas smell or spills. A very good product and in the long run; cost effiecent do to no gas or oil.
