The worst grates design imaginable

Just received this as a gift. Sadly, this may be the worst grill I've ever used. I've never seen grates accumulate so much debris after just one cook. Very difficult to clean the porcelin grates to the point I might just give it away and buy something different.additionally thr ignitor button does does not work on this new product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this after trying to find a replacement for my 3 burner infrared unit. Reading through what was available, this appeared to be the one. A little disappointed with all of the flare ups from the somewhat open burner concept.

Used first time yesterday and worked great! Disappointed on the finish. Coating on front cover is not smooth. Has runs all over. Guess that ls why it was on sale. Not the quality I would expect from Caar-Brool.

I purchased the grill about a month ago because my charbroil grill that I bought in 2011 was starting to fail. The grill I had was a charbroil Red that also featured infrared cooking. So when I saw this grill I went ahead and bought it and I’m glad I did. This grill cooks evenly without any flare ups. I set grill to medium heat and for everything and let it cook. I cook on it about 2 times a week and keep it covered when not in use. Very easy to assemble.

Piezas dañadas y faltaba una parte.

Me ha desilusionado el producto. Fácil de montar pero ha llegado con una pieza golpeada. Parecía que algunas piezas, por el envoltorio, ya las habían abierto antes. Faltaba una parte (pieza 50) y la pila que incluía para la chispa estaba sulfatada y ha dañado/manchado de ácido otra pieza. Estoy viendo como reclamar pero no lo encuentro en la página web

Temp control

Have had the grill for less than a year. Runs hot unable to control temp. On low grill will run 350-400 degrees. Grates collect food particles and sauces and have to be cleaned constantly.

The grates clog instantly

I bought the amplifire grill thinking whoa … sweet grates not knowing they would clog constantly and be almost uncleanable. They claim it reduces flair ups but I’d have to disagree. They constantly flair up and catch fire. So I’m definitely going to have to get different grates. If I would make a suggestion. Make every other slit on the grate double wide for some drainage.

We are sorry to hear of the issues encountered. How are you cleaning your grates? We recommend cleaning the grates with a nylon grill brush and either a soap and water mixture or grill cleaning spray. If there is a lot of build up we recommend soaking the grates in a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and water for about 15 minutes first. We also recommend seasoning the grates with a high burning oil.
