This is a great grill. The directions for assembly were easy to read. Assembled in roughly 2 hours. The grates are non stick coated. My chicken breast did stick though, so I just put a little non-stick spray and no problem. I have no complaints. Great grill!

Disappointed! Compared to the last gas grill I purchased this is a piece of crap that probably won’t hold up to the elements. Campbells uses thicker metal for their soup cans!!!!

How to use tru infrared/Amplifier correctly

If you're considering an amplifier/infrared grill they work great if used properly. I've used them for over 10 years. Yes, you should use nylon brush on grates when cool or washing with soap and water, but you should be using a wood scraper after you're done cooking and let it burn off for at least 5-10 after that. The wood won't damage the porcelain grates. Use a nylon brush and wood scraper before your next cook and If any of the holes are plugged just use the scraper tool to open them.

Amplifire™ Cooking Grates are Horrid

The Amplifire™ cooking grates are a terrible concept. There's not sufficient room for fat to drain! Extremely disappointed with the grates. The lid is also rickety. Seems like product quality might be slipping some at Char-Broil.

Purchased a new grill online at a sale price. It was delivered quickly. It was easy to put together after studying the directions and putting it together and then redoing it to get it right. One hour later I had my grill finished and grilled up some chicken breasts. UMMM good.

I have the TRU-infared grates on my grill. The grill cooks food well.......but the cleanup afterwards is infuriating. It is very difficult to get the bristles on any brush (wire or nylon) deep enough into the valleys of the grates to brush away greasy gunk that builds up. I cleaned with a brush after every use and still it builds up in the valleys. This makes the grill not function properly. I love to grill, I don't mind cleaning, but cleaning the grates ruin all the fun.
