Perfection in a Bottle!

I have had my Takeya 17oz Traveler Coffee Mug (I call it a bottle) for over two years now. It is by far the best coffee bottle I have ever owned. I drive semi trucks over the road and live off coffee. I have given away over 10 to 12 different bottles that I have not liked. They leaked, they dripped coffee, they got coffee on your nose when drinking, they did not keep temperature, they did not fit under refillable coffee machines in the truck stops, they were not sturdy in a cup holder or they were difficult to hold. Not the Takeya 17 oz! It’s perfect in all these areas. Mine even made the trip with me from Kansas City to Brisbane, Australia and back because I love it so much. I’m writing this review because I came here to the website to purchase a second one so I can have two, one hot and one cold. This way I can fill both at the same time and have my hot coffee in the morning and my iced tea in the afternoon. Anything this great…why just own one?

I am really enjoying my Traveler Leakproof Coffee Mug. It's a good size and stays hot and I can sip on it for a good long time. It doesn't leak at all. I really dig the Nitro Purple color too.

Haven't used for warm beverages yet, but it's been keeping my cold brew and matcha lattes nice and cold. No spills, and I like the locking mechanism.
Can't comment on the longevity since I've only had a few weeks.

Won't get fooled again - redesign the ring Takeya

We have four of these bottles - four of them. We love the quality of the bottle itself - it really does keep hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold and didn't leak. But as many others have commented - the lid sucks big time. All of our lids have broken. We bought a bunch of replacement lids and now they are broken too. As the saying goes - "fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice, shame on me". Well I won't be fooled again. I am looking for a different product. As a note - Takeya if you are reading these negative reviews - your reputation is tanking because of this. We were loyal customers before our lids kept breaking. The design itself is to blame - partly the weakness of the plastic on the ring, yes, but also the fact that once the ring breaks (which it does far too easily) then the entire hinge holding the top part of the lid to the bottom part is compromised and it is then unusable. If you just made the ring so that it is not connected to the hinge that opens the lid - or remove the ring altogether - that would probably make the whole issue less of a problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great bottle, don’t buy until they fix the lid

I really like this bottle. But the problem with the lid overwhelms it. We have three travelers, and have been through six lids. Sometimes it’s the ring, more often it’s the latch at the front. The lids cost more than third the price of a new bottle.
I’m here today to buy a few more lids. Because I feel it’s the more sustainable option, for now.
My one kid is rough on his bottles but my other is not, and I’m not. We’ve all busted lids. Also the only replacements are black and white and won’t match your bottles. Do not recommend until Takeya redesigns the lid.
