Easy to assemble and so easy to my kids can do it

I bought this about a month ago and not disappointed at all. It lighter than my old gas one. No fumes or gas smells in garage anymore.

Self propelled is awkward.

Starts and runs fine, once I got it. Cut the yard with battery life to spare but the self propelled is awkward. I have a smaller yard with lots of obstacles so I need to go back and forth quite a bit so the self propelled is useless for alot of the yard. You have to pause before you can pull it back. Even on the straight part of the yard it was still awkward to engage the SP. I found myself holding the SP handle with one hand and the other handle with my other hand. I felt like I was fighting the mower. I have only cut the yard once. I want to give it another shot to see if I can get use to it but considering a return.

Thank you for taking the time to review our product we always appreciate customer feedback! the self-propelled feature is not usable in reverse. They are designed to lock when pulled back to prevent damage to the drive belt. To pull the mower back, disengage the self-propelled lever.

Good product, support is lacking

I like the mower but it has an issue I'd like to have resolved. I put in a ticket that has yet to be viewed on the 'battery switch over' function. When one battery is depleted I have to remove both batteries and reinsert them into the same slots before it will recognize there is a second battery. Even when I'm using a single battery I need to add / remove a full battery twice before it will start back up. The reason this is such a large issue for me is because I actually waited until a model came out with this function... I didn't want last year's model that had a 'storage space' and this is honestly worse with the work-around I'm using.
Side discharge is basically useless since it throws grass about 4-6 inches so it all clumps up on the side. Mulching function is what I use and that works great. Bagging works fine but I generally only use that to clean up leaves in the fall.
The smart pace works very well so far. When I need to pull it backwards I just stop pressing on the self drive lever for a second and it works just fine. Very small learning curve but it is something to get used to.
Mower run time is about 3 of the 4 ah batteries to complete my 1/3 acre lawn (not an issue since I have 3 of them, but it is something to watch out for)

HORRIBLE! The self propelled mower didn't self propell. The single plastic blade hit and mised mowing spots irregularly over my entire lawn. The company wouldn't acknowledge the several emails I sent asking for help nor did they send me a return shipping label. Don't use this company if you expect good quality service and products- you won't find those things here.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

1. Start the machine.
2. While you hold the bail switch, turn the Step-Sense self-propel button to the unlocked position to open the self-propel system.
3. Turn the Step-Sense self-propel button to the locked position to close the self-propel system.
To engage the self-propel drive system while the mower is not running:
1. Turn the Step-Sense self-propel button to the unlocked position.
Hoping this was maybe a misstep and will be able to correct with these instructions.
