I bought this saw for yard work. I owned a business for many years and used a gas chainsaw to gather cedar. I had heard that the new battery driven chainsaws were user friendly and a great option for small jobs. I already happily own a greenworks lawnmower so your saw was the obvious choice! No more gas fumes for me or the environment. (Solar power creates the electricity I use)

Lightweight and powerful w/o carrying gas tanks around the yard

Great saw for quick little jobs when you don't want to drag out the gas tanks and everything else. Obviously not as powerful as a gas saw but plenty strong enough for most jobs around the house. We live in central Texas so most of the wood I cut is oak and this saw chews it up jut fine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Greenworks 24V Cordless String Trimmer with AH Battery is amazing, easy to use, lightweight and durable. I like that two buttons need to be pressed for it to turn on the product because it prevents unnecessary injury. This Trimmer gets the job done for my front and backyard to look amazing as it cuts through the grass and allows for beautiful lines. Charging the battery is super easy and convenient especially for tough jobs to be done efficiently. I totally recommend this product as it stands out because of its performance and beautiful presentation.

BEST WEED EATER ON THE MARKET!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this Greenworks Weed Eater Trimmer to try out and it worked great! I have what I call weed gardens and this helped me to clean up and trim those unsightly areas. My husband is not well so this was light enough for him to use without getting tired or hurt. Highly recommend for the strength of the cutting and the lightweightness!

Little with a lot of power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Little with a lot of power!! I live on a ranch so there’s a lot of grass area that needs tending to. I used this in the back portion of my house and let me tell you that this cordless trimmer was amazing. It grabs all the weeds and things around the edge of the grass super quickly and gets them all the way down to basically nothing my grass has never looked better! Just be careful though because it is a very powerful little tool. its super lightweight as well which I love. nor hard on the hands and even has a extra handle for That precision cut your looking for.

Best chainsaw I've ever owned!

I have owned gas powered tools all my life, so I did a lot of research before purchasing a battery powered chainsaw. I first read all the the reviews and compared prices; most of the owners I was researching were the folks who cut timber for a living...they all said the same thing while at work...."95% of the time, I reach for the cordless Greenworks chainsaw!" That is what convinced me and now that I own one, I will never again purchase gas powered equipment as long as Greenworks makes a battery/cordless version. If you use the Greenworks Chain/Bar oil made for this equipment...this thing will cut thru timber like a hot knife thru butter! Buy this saw...you will feel as good about your purchase as I do.

Great value

Got it in today and couldn't wait to try it out. Cut down a 30ft tree approx 9" thick at the base. Was able to cut to cut into 18" pieces very quickly and used less than half the battery. This weekend I will be testing it out on multiple trees. Quiet, light and plenty of power, 2 thumbs up!

A Great chain saw, plain and simple!

As a New England home owner heating with wood for over 30 years, I’ve used a number of gasoline chainsaws. I am extremely impressed with this Greenworks brushless saw.
.. But first.. this is not a gasoline engine powered chainsaw, don’t expect it to act exactly the same...
I’ve enjoyed this saw for over a year and two replacement chains.. My main occupation for the last 30+ years has been repairing cars, and anything mechanical so I’ve torture tested this saw like any other saw I’ve used.. A+.
Working side by side helping a friend cut fallen trees into wood stove size pieces, this saw had it’s first workout, side by side with a gas saw who had to stop and refuel before my battery was down to 1/4. As I was pushing the saw to it’s limits as I tend to do at times with a gas saw, at the point where the gas engine would be saying “that’s all I got man” when Really Pushed, the electric saw just stops.. no kick back, just an almost instant safe stop.
And chain adjustments are so simple. No tools needed, can be done on the spot in seconds. All I need on the job is the saw and chain oil, gloves and eye protection, no need for covering my ears due to noise.. making a safer all around.
The saw is not too heavy and is very well balanced in operation.
Until I run into a tree requiring a larger bar on a chainsaw, It’s likely to be a while before my gas saw gets used again. I am very pleased with this Greenworks saw and would absolutely recommend it.
